  1. I'm with you. But, I understand why they did what they did. Not a fan, don't completely hate it, but not what I'd have done.
  2. Morris, I think also? And Prielipp is in AAA......so not sure what experience he's getting for a playoff run?
  3. Young guys? This team has zero rookies in the field, and how many pitchers are rookies?
  4. This. A big issue for sure.
  5. And Gray, and 2 DHs....and Martin and Roden sure. We disagree. Strongly.
  6. You mean their starting 3B, current CF, RF, and catchers? And Ryan, Bradley, and other pitchers? This is the team largely built by Falvey.
  7. So, just carry three C and 2 DH and Gray on the roster, while trying to win?
  8. How the F did they not move Caratini or Jackson?
  9. And 2 DHs. And Gray. What a roster.
  10. This feels like a fan GM deadline "our bullpen sucks, and we are first in run scoring" deadline......(I know, they also got a starter, we'll see.....). Unless they call up an OF and Culpeper (or is it Culpepper), I don't see how this O and D is good enough. Really bummed Bell is still here, and Trevor isn't the full time DH.
  11. That he's the starting LF, not DH. Sigh.
  12. I've come around on this specific trade. I'd prefer they kept HIll and dealt him in a package for a SP next year, but whatever. It is basically a HS guy who can't throw strikes for a closer or 8th inning guy for this year and next. So, it's a fine trade, if not what I'd do.
  13. It's why I like dealing for SPs more than RPs.....and in the off season for sure.
  14. Yup. It's why last year's deadline, while unpopular, made sense (mostly).
  15. #3 starting pitching prospect.......that's the long term issue for this team, most likely. (not this deal, but the fact their SP depth in the minors is "suspect". Rojas is the number 2 SP prospect......)
  16. Of course, because small market teams shouldn't be doing much there.... :)
  17. I'm not a fan of dealing for RPs, generally. Hoffman, for example, was awful after being traded last year. OTOH, I don't love HS pitchers as a rule....but I still don't love this deal. The bullpen looks well set up this year and next, though. They'll need to find some hitting and D next year.....and if there is a long lockout, next year isn't likely worth much.
  18. And next year. They have 100% prioritized 2027 control.
  19. My mistake, I thought it said Quick, not Klein.
  20. I cannot wait for the sale and Zoll to be gone. edit" oops, read the trade wrong. Still not a huge fan, but not firable. :)
  21. Holy f'n jesus. that's ridiculous from MN. For a RP? WTF?
  22. Dude was very clear yesterday he DID NOT want to be traded. Look, the bullpen is deeper now, but they are short offense, defense, and starters.....I hope they didn't give up much.
  23. Just other teams? Not fans, or even Trevor Larnach?
