    If I'm the Mike you mean....looking at one bad year of Wallner instead of all his years is not what I'm interested in at all. Looking only at BA or RBI (which is a function of players on base in front of the hitter) is not ideal, but not awful either. Wallner was not good last year. I'm not giving up on him like so many here are. I think people appear to have no idea how low batting averages are these days, when comparing to teams even 10 years ago, let along 30-40 years ago. I'm super not interesting in signing mediocre veterans to block the four AAA players you mention as possibilities at all. Like, I'm very uninterested in watching guys that aren't all that good who they won't DFA. At least with them, there is hope. My solution to the OF is Roden and Martin to start the year, with Wallner at DH and sometimes in RF. Buxton in Center. I'd prefer Jenkins or EmRod start in MN over one of those, but that isn't happening with this team, I think. If Roden and Martin aren't good, call up the next guy. I don't have a strong feeling for OF 4/5 as the backup. Preferably not someone old and bad.

    Where does Outman even play in AAA? Gonzalez, Rodriguez, Jenkins are your OF, and you also Mendez (OF or 1B).

    They really need to put Felton out there this year, agreed. I'm hoping they deal Addison this year. I'd do him and a 3rd for a first....something like that, to a contender.

    I wanted a veteran to be there as a mentor......come on. You can't have no mentor. And no, bosses (coaches) are not the same at all. They just aren't.

    Screw ND. Also, double screw them for not letting their seniors play in a bowl, and teaching them that if you don't get your first choice in life, give up. Awful lesson, which isn't shocking from ND, frankly. Want in? Play a real schedule and join a conference. The only upset people are tv executives that have playoff games, and ND fans. Everyone else is happy (or couldn't care less).

    That's not actually true, if you believe in catcher ERA. Vazquez is one of the worst hitters in baseball history. No defense can make up for a guy that hits like a SP used to hit.

    2 all star RPs (not sure they have one legit RP right now), a HOF SS, career years from certain players....and that got 75, 82, and 87 wins..... Their SS isn't even an average SS, let alone HOF.

    This core won how many games the last two years? With Duran and Jax for two thirds of that time?

    Interesting idea. I hate the FAs you suggest signing, but that's not your point. Why anyone would want the twins to trade for guys with less than three years of control is beyond me. I agree with others, Ober had little value, but I'd deal him fast if you get even a decent return. The one thing this hurts is building the bullpen, which is a lot harder if you aren't converting a guy like festa.

    I just want a really good DB.... corner or safety. This team can't cover well enough. Or an elite DT.

    No idea. Just my gut . Shockingly, several gurus have Minnesota picking the guy who will miss the whole season
