  1. Dear Byron, Please do not look down at your right wrist and flex it like that immediately after making a great catch against the fence and bracing yourself with said right wrist. It scares us. Sincerely, Twins Daily game thread denizens
  2. Yeah texas used Matt Bush for two innings, I noticed. Oh well.
  3. This just in: Buxton is fast And long-term, I'm not really worried about him at plate
  4. Welp, maybe Abad was only ever a guy to use vs lefties
  5. yep A fraction of an inch down the bat barrel and a popup to the center field warning track becomes something quite different Oops ninja'd by original author
  6. Matt Bush - what a story And what a season he is having.
  7. It may be that you are foresaken, but it wouldn't be by your ability/inability to spell/misspell Plouffe's name
  8. Only two runs. This can be done. Their bullpen has blown some games recently. And Dozier gets the rally started
  9. 0-2 count Gimme a fat fastball waist high down the middle
  10. Looks like Erv pitched well Or at the minimum, musta done a few things good
  11. Seems like Sano has his timing back and is back up to full speed. Do you know how the Twins approach rehab assignments?
  12. Shoulder surgery. Out for year. http://www.twinkietown.com/2016/6/28/12055794/phil-hughes-to-have-season-ending-shoulder-surgery Or, as the TwinkieTown writer aptly put it: meh, might as well.
  13. I was wondering what sad soul might bid on that thing, whatever it was* *no one is a sad soul
  14. Kershaw actually hurt his back in his last start. Nothing serious, but Terry still turned down the offer, not wanting to trade for an injured guy
  15. Berrios tonight: 7 innings, 1 hit good pitching is contagious
  16. Try the 1992 expansion draft for the Marlins and Rockies. Some better players, including a future Hall-of-Famer (more likely than not but no guarantee) and some other interesting guys, like a young Joe Girardi. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1992_Major_League_Baseball_expansion_draft
  17. This makes sense. Then from the original 15 you could consider exposing maybe Chargois, Rogers or Pressly, or some combination, though I would still protect Burdi.
  18. Arizona pitcher throws complete game shutout, 122 pitches. Playing for title Tuesday night.
  19. I'd keep Nunez. His glove and arm are generally suspect (which depresses his value) but he can back up several positions and occasionally does something amazing out in the field. And he has spark as a hitter and base runner. Good complementary player and good find.
  20. Most grand slams hit by a single batter in a single inning: 2, Fernando Tatis, St Louis Cardinals, 3rd inning, April 23, 1999 Most grand slams surrendered by a single pitcher in a single inning: 2, Chan Ho Park, Los Angeles Dodgers, 3rd inning, April 23, 1999 These records may be tied, but will never be broken I am not a big Ripken fan but that one should stand for all time. All those longetivity records will be hard to reach. From your list probably the season RBI record has the best chance of falling.
