  1. Here's a tip for people who didn't enjoy that. Stop watching and find a different hobby. If you can't even enjoy the good seasons you are better off finding something else to do.
  2. This is the best stretch of Twins pitching over multiple seasons I can remember. I don't think he can squeeze that much more performance out of the pitchers. The hitters are supposed to be better than this.
  3. The problem isn't Margot vs Kirilloff. It's that either of them are on the roster in the first place.
  4. Throwing a temper tantrum isn't leadership, it's something you should learn not to do in kindergarten.
  5. They didn't buy in the offseason when the prices were lower. I'm not sure they want to try to win.
  6. This is most minor leaguers in every organization. Most minor leaguers don't make it.
  7. Gray took a discount to sign with the Cardinals. He has already given interviews about how much he loves the Cardinal organization. He didn't want to be a Twin, even if the money was better.
  8. Kirilloff's last 2 weeks in MLB: .280/.321/.600. That's more impressive than Wallner beating up on the Rochester Red Wings.
  9. I bet he can use one of those two lane roundabouts without getting into an accident.
  10. Blackmon is hitting as bad as Buxton and is mostly a DH at this point in his career. He hasn't played CF since 2018.
  11. That I can agree on wholeheartedly. They have managed to negotiate the worst television deal of any major sport.
  12. If my choices for this announcement are Provus or Dave St. Peter I go with Cory Provus and it isn't a difficult decision. He's PAID to announce things.
  13. They have a $7.5M commitment to Chris Paddack next season that they may want to get out of. I could see them bringing in a better starting pitcher and sending Paddack out as part of the return. The Angels will probably deal Tyler Anderson. The Twins could deal Paddack + a prospect for Anderson and then trade Anderson away in the offseason with little impact to their budget. Maybe they go nuts and send the Sheriff to Houston and get Verlander for the playoff run.
  14. Unless they subscribe to Comcast. If this is the first rule then the Twins broke it by going back to BSN.
  15. I like the unimpressive version of Buxton more than the unavailable version of Buxton. He's still performing about league average at the plate with above average defense which means he's worth every penny of his modest $15M salary.
  16. Injuries may lead them to make a deal but otherwise I think you're right. They have the team they want on the field right now.
  17. Wow. Let's throw Cory Provus under the bus like he was saying something without approval from the Twins. Provus is a pro, he's not going to make statements without approval from above.
  18. Unless they abruptly go bankrupt and stop broadcasting because they didn't make a deal with Comcast and don't have enough money to pay their employees.
  19. Most of their audience does not have cable or a satellite dish. They have already rejected cable/dish because it doesn't have the programs they want at the price they want to pay and the customer service is awful. Now out of their customers willing to pay for cable/dish less than half can actually get the games. I can see why current cable subscribers would be hesitant to switch to a different service with no guarantee that they will have games next month. They've been burned once (or more) already.
  20. If the team had said 1/3 of the way through the season that their television partner was not going to be available on television? The team said "get cable if you want to watch the Twins this season". People got or kept cable. The biggest cable company didn't have the games as soon as the NBA season finished. The Twins didn't say "get cable if you want to watch the games in April and then you're hosed for the rest of the season". I think people would be thrilled with a $180/year streaming option for Twins games (like Arizona offers). At least they wouldn't be at the mercy of their local cable company deciding whether or not they would show the games or leave them off the air. I'm pretty certain the Diamondbacks aren't going to take people's money and cut off broadcasts for most of the season.
  21. Also, let's not pretend that Sonny Gray would have turned down the Cardinals, an organization he is in love with, to return to the Twins for the same money. He took a discount to be a Cardinal.
