  1. They might be better off letting Brooks Lee play in the big leagues. He will develop faster facing major league pitching. He hasn't done anything in the last two weeks that should make them regret their decision.
  2. Turner, Kikuchi, Jansen and Yimi Garcia are all impending free agents. Trading all four gets them under the tax.
  3. What the hell are you talking about? I am certain the Twins are having their minor leaguers practice hitting and defense. Do you think they just roll in at game time and play the games?
  4. Has any team in the history of baseball ever had it's entire roster healthy at the same time?
  5. I don't think Julien can improve a lot in AAA. His OBP there is ridiculous because he knows the AAA strike zone and pitchers at that level are less likely to hit the corners with a strike.
  6. The idea is okay but it didn't help him today to come in with runners on base.
  7. I think we can call the Berrios trade. MN wins the trade with this great rookie season from SWR.
  8. They have nothing to lose by pitching Randy Dobnak except baseball games.
  9. It's really hard to field a top 10 team with a bottom 10 payroll. Trading Paddack makes a lot of sense and they can probably find someone who will take him at $7.5M. Fill the spot in the rotation by trading from position player depth.
  10. Great job by the starting pitchers. Nothing from the offense these last two games.
  11. A wasted opportunity to give Wallner a chance to face a lefty with nothing on the line. Instead they bring in Margot for another failed pinch hit.
  12. I agree he's interesting. Can they sign him? They have freed up $600k so far compared to slot but I have a feeling that's going the high school lefty pitcher.
  13. Watch how much attendance tanks if they're out of the wild card race in September. It could be 150k less.
  14. There is a creative way for the Twins to not take on additional salary but help the Jays reduce their luxury tax number. Randy Dobnak is "off the books" for luxury tax calculations but he's still owed a little more than $3M.
  15. Most prospects rated lower than 10 will not contribute much to the future of the team. Those guys are usually utility players, 5th starters or relief pitchers.
  16. The Jays have a strong incentive to dump his salary to get under the competitive balance tax threshold.
  17. Paxton is likely to pitch worse at Target Field than he did in Dodger Stadium. He's not anything special but he's better than putting Festa or Varland out there again.
  18. Paxton raises the floor. He's better than their worst pitcher and costs about 1% of their total budget for salary.
  19. Kirilloff's lack of a glove, bat or good health.
