    You can never have too many short stops or starting pitchers. If the Twins had 5 of the top 10 prospects and they were all short stops I’d still want them to sign Story long term.

    I think this season we’d see Duran, Thorpe, etc but they’ve been injured. with Thorpe, close to ready to come back, they needed an Arm for emergencies that DFA’ing and losing wouldn’t hurt. this current stretch is likely 40 man management while they wait for arms to get healthy/rehab.

    I have an iPhone 12 mini. The text tables are wider than my screen accommodates, so I have to with back off my POV or slide the screen back and forth. Both are annoying because each click thru on the forum means readjusting. is there a setting or preference I can set to default to full width text?

    I cancelled Hulu for a while, wife talked me into bringing it back. Now that I’m done with school, I’ve got a little time again! against my wishes, even though it’s technically “free” for a year, we added Apple+. There’s only one show worth watching, but it’s REALLY AWESOME. Ted Lasso is sooo goood. As soon as season 2 is done in cancelling A+. if I mysteriously disappear, I probably mustered the courage to cancel Netflix and my wife murdered me for it

    This is not a first amendment issue. The government may not censor speech about the government made by citizens in public. Twitter is a private platform, and Simmons is making speech about public health. It’s more equivalent to yelling “fire” in a movie theatre. Keep in mind, people go to jail for things like that. essentially Simmons is telling his followers to use medical treatment alternative to prescribed treatment by public health officials. Saying stuff like that gets people in trouble and usually if you are speaking as a known public figure, you also speak on behalf of your employer. If you hear the “it’s a personal decision” answer in pressers, that’s most likely what the team tells the athlete to say.

    I’m on the Jax Jalopy! It’s great to see him succeed as a narrative, just like Dobnak. He probably will never be a mid-rotation type, but there’s a ton of value in having your 4,5,6 starters having options and cheap, instead of old and expensive. Something to watch in a lost season, and just maybe… a reason for Thad to not go sign another Shoemaker. One can hope anyways

    Welcome! Minneapolis- Mill Ruins Park and the Mill City Museum are fun as are the chain of lakes. if going to Minnehaha, eat at Sea Salt. Stop in for a while in Dinkytown. Even if school is out, the University of MN is beautiful, and the restaurants at Stadium village are great. My fav Afrodeli it’s Halal and approachable African food. There’s also 9+ miles of skyway, it’s not what it used to be with COVID and all, but still pretty cool. in St. Paul, the Cathedral and capital are great. Up “Cathedral Hill” is Summit avenue and the Governors Mansion. Grand Avenue has great food and Grand Ole Creamery.

    MLB has already made that decision no? When Disney had to sell the RSNs, MLB (or NBA/NHL) could have purchased them, but let Sinclair buy them for a paltry $10 bil. MLB frequently chooses not to make decisions for more money over best for the sport or the fans. Bally having a partnership with YouTube, Hulu, or Amazon would indeed be more convenient for fans, but Sinclair would not bring in much revenue as the big players would need a very large cut

    I think it depends on price and scope. Bally bought many of the RSNs, and the rumored price point is not obscene. We’ve gotten used to having multiple streaming services and could be ok. If Bally gets too greedy on price/access, as they did w/ cable providers, then Sinclair will be forced to get out of their contract and this whole ordeal will start over again.

    I watched 3 innings of one game, while doing homework. Grad school has overwhelmed me, but it’s almost done. Bally is a mess, rumors are they are launching their own streaming service. That will help. improving the rules for increasing pitch contact rate would help a lot on the enjoyment level.
