  1. I am so glad I was too busy today. I think I remember how we were excited to take off after the all star game - not sure this is the take-off I was anticipating. Team Rankings, "The Cleveland Guardians are averaging 3.92 runs per game during the 2026 Major League Baseball season. This mark ranks at the bottom of the league, with their home scoring average sitting at 3.88 runs per game and their away average at 3.96 runs per game." Aren't we the most prolific scorers? And Funderburk, Nance, GO continued the masterful pitching - yikes.
  2. Mason could not help in todays debacle. Let's stop thinking about the moon and LOOK for some small tweaks.
  3. Maybe it is just expectations. Maybe it masks the achievements of others in the system.
  4. This point so the danger of pushing prospects of the list too quickly. I know a lot will disagree with me but this is why I don't like seeing lackey being put up so high and the prospect list before he faces professional pitching
  5. I am curious about Garrett Spain. It seems like I read about him a lot in these posts. What is his status? Will he make the top 20 list soon?
  6. The enthusiasm is great, but I am on hold. Lackey has not even hit a minor league pitch, and he seems to be anointed the catcher of the future, but Tait, Diaw, and Tinney have something to say about that. For all I know he will be a Levi Michaels. What I am interested in will be the promotion of Jenkins and Houston - those two look like they could become stars.
  7. I keep hearing that Houston needs OF help - a trade of Roden and Wallner might be interesting to them and move some of our excess options.
  8. Use your starters as long as possible. Keep the BP fresh. Make some moves with your excess - the OF now has Larnach and Keaschall and Martin and Roden and in the wings Gonzales, Rodriguez, Jenkins, Fedko, Wallner, Mendez Teams like Houston need OF help. Move the excess, 1B/DH has Bell, Lewis, Caratini, Jeffers, Clemens, Sabato, Gray, Winokur, Amick - more than enough Move the excess! U has Gray, Kriedler, Martin, Ross, DeBarge - we only need two. Get BP help,
  9. Trade Bell and OF prospect - Houston needs OF - clear some space and move on. We know Bell is one year only so keep Lewis playing and hitting. Yes cut Gray. Keep Paredes on relief. Keep all the catchers and then trade Jeffers for RP. The Yankees need him. Keep moving forward - fill the positions of need and prepare for the end of this year and 2027.. And here is my reach - if Culpepper is down with a bad butt and we want fielding - maybe its Marek time!
  10. Fascinating conundrum. Larnach created this problem by turning his career around and looking like the player we dreamed about. We proved we can survive without Jeffers so he would be the first I would look to trade and with the addition of one of our prospects we should be able to get something back that is more than Roden level. Now that extension for Ryan sounds good to me and the fans - I doubt it sounds so good to Ryan and his agent.
  11. I consider this to be from Randball Just for Fun. I cannot take seriously anything that is so overstated. Come back to Earth.
  12. Rating him 9 and letting him establish himself and work up the list is not a put down - being in the top 2 right away is not an insult - top ten is a compliment. As noted in the story, we have had some high draft picks that failed. Let's make sure he meets the press clippings.
  13. I am still the old prove it guy - number 9 - let him climb the ladder. I look at the prospect list and the top 8 are doing well. Dasan Hill is not - Gonzales is - so put him in this area. Why the rush to get him on the list? Two college seasons are really good - does it translate - is he really better than Tait and Diaw?
  14. Interesting essay. McCusker and Fedko were handled badly. They needed an everyday opportunity for at least a week to adjust and show what they have. Outman was a vet, he not only failed this year, but last year too. Jackson makes sense if we are looking to trade Jeffers or Bell which would give Caratini and Jeffers DH time.
  15. Just not sure I believe he will make the final steps. He looks awkward - not a smooth fielder anywhere and to many Ks. Let's hope he proves me wrong.
  16. The wild card in this discussion in the MLB/players union impasse - what gets finally decided? Because if we continue without interruption I would bring up Jenkins - don't waste good talent on speculation.
  17. As someone who does not follow the college and HS prospects and with the normal Minor league time at least three years I do not get excited by the draft - unlike NFL and NBA where they jump right in. But I am pleased with the way the Twins are playing and it makes me excited for the second half. Unlike others I have to see Roden produce in mlb before I am ready to pronounce him as a major leaguer. Let the second half begin - I want to see questions answered and commitment to winning.
  18. No, it's the fact that in baseball so many factors influence success and we don't know when and how those things will impact so I like to wait
  19. I repeat - give me a couple years and I will have an opinion. Baseball is hard to judge so much depends on health,
  20. I feel like I'm running out phrase wait and see but what else can you say for these kinds of pickups
  21. It's up to the Twins. They seem to see something the rest of us don't.
  22. Actually I need another year to decide. It is always easy to jump to a conclusion on SSS but if we don't look at Jax early nunbers it is harder to say. Let's see how it plays out.
