Theo Tollefson: The Twins have promoted their number one pick Vahn Lackey from Low-A Fort Myers to High-A Cedar Rapids.

Anderson or Acton. They need someone to piggyback with Prielipp. He should only be going 2x through the lineup. Maybe an overreaction to his last two starts but he seems to be gassed.
  4. thelanges5
    Call him up

Hopefully Larnach can figure out the “why” and get back on track. Although, like the author states, he/they are running out of time. Trevor’s future as a ________, depends on it. (Twins, trade candidate, choose your own descriptor)

they’re only mostly dead, mostly dead is slightly alive

Unfortunately, this is what they’ve been doing all season long. They don’t play consistent enough baseball to win more than 2 to 3 games before they lose 2 to 3 games. Teams are probably looking at the Twins and thinking about their soft September schedule.

Scored one run in the last 13 innings.

Microcosm of the 26 season - swept by Phils, sweep the Bravos, swept by Friars

Don’t want to admit it. But it sure feels that way.

    ChiSox walk-off the Metropolitans.

Now at eight. Offense in its shell.

Twins can’t seem to find a way to play consistent baseball. They’ve had many opportunities to gain ground but haven’t.

Buehler with 10 pitches, Ober with 20. Shelty likes his aggressive hitters. I do not.
  16. thelanges5
Too bad they don’t have a roster spot for him 🤣

This team continues to struggle to play 9 good innings in a game. Been a fun season but they are not consistent enough to make a run.

New guy Marinaccio just served up a 3-run homer. Saints losing 8-3
  19. thelanges5
Just gave up 5 earned including 3 homers in the third inning. Yikes

Theo Tollefson: Joe Ryan threw a 35 pitch bullpen in St. Paul today off the CHS Mound. The bullpen was relocated from Target Field as the Tim McGraw concert is being set up for tomorrow night.

Read they are stretching out Marquez and Anderson. Marquez starts for the Saints tonight. Marquez has an Aug 25th opt out.
  22. thelanges5
Rotation depth takes another hit. Gleeman: Twins placed left-hander Kendry Rojas on the Triple-A St. Paul injured list with a right oblique strain. Yet another injury hit to the Twins' already minimal starting rotation depth. And now Rojas' ability to play a major-league role of some kind down the stretch is in question.

None of these teams in the wildcard mix are perfect. Which one of them is going to go on a run? Uphill battle for the Twins.
  24. thelanges5
    Yandy Diaz

I agree, Peter. I just don’t know if I have any faith in them to go on this winning streak you speak of.
