  1. $500k difference. Give Joe the $$$ Poverty Pohlads strike again. Nightengale: The Twins are $500,000 apart with Joe Ryan on his 2026 salary and it may head to an arbitration hearing. Ryan asked for $6.35M and the Twins countered at $5.85M. Twins agreed to one-year deals with six other arb-eligible players. https://www.startribune.com/minnesota-twins-mlb-arbitration-salary-joe-ryan-spring-training/601559097
  2. Matthew Leach: Per club policy, they will not continue to negotiate on a one-year deal with any player after exchanging arbitration figures, which officially occurs at 7 pm CT tonight.
  3. Twins have reached agreements with all but Joe Ryan. No $$ figures announced for Jackson and Sands. Twins and Ryan will go to arbitration or they can sign him to a multi-year deal.
  4. I will do my best to update this list throughout the day
  5. Today at 7 PM central is the deadline for teams and players to exchange figures ahead of the arbitration proceedings. Here is who we can expect to see figures for sometime today (projected amounts are from MLB trade rumors) Ryan Jeffers (5.089): $6.6MM Bailey Ober (4.093): $4.6MM Joe Ryan (4.033): $5.8MM Trevor Larnach (4.014): $4.7MM Royce Lewis (3.142): $3MM Cole Sands (3.017): $1.3MM Alex Jackson (3.036): $1.8MM
  6. I like the rotation and depth, bullpen needs 2-3 outside adds, position players are a bit of a mess. Hard to put the puzzle together with the wrong pieces. Still time until ST so I expect some moves are coming.
  7. Still waiting for those external additions to the bullpen that Falvey was taking about. There is still time, but pitchers and catchers report in 5-6 weeks.
  8. Schultz would be a great addition and he has two options left. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2026/01/blue-jays-designate-paxton-schultz-for-assignment.html
  9. Twins have signed Orlando Arcia to minor league deal with an invite to spring training. He hasn’t played that well lately but can play SS and brings MLB experience to the roster. He had a pretty good 2023 .264/.321/.420 Can he be a good utility infielder for the Twins in 2026? https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2026/01/twins-sign-orlando-arcia-to-minor-league-deal.html
  10. A couple other options for the Twins: Junis - https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/j/junisja01.shtml Johnson - https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/j/johnspi01.shtml
  11. Thanks for the analysis and targets. Twins need to sign 2-3 relievers with MLB experience. Dominguez and Coulombe would work out great. Stay away from the $1mil Jackson/Staumont-types.
  12. Once Falvey gets to know Tom a little better, he’ll find out that he’s a go big or go home kind of guy.
  13. This move doesn’t move me. How about that bullpen? Larnach + Bragg for Vodnik would’ve been a better move.
  14. To be competitive the Twins will need many of their young guys to take a step forward. I liked what I saw from Martin at the end of last season. He played a little second base too, but I’m not sure how he looked there? If Buck continues to want to bat lead off, maybe Martin could bat ninth so he’d have someone to drive in?
  15. Slightly different adaptation than what I recently saw at my local community theater.
  16. Nothing to lose with a MiLB signing. I’m intrigued.
  17. Pirates signed O’Hearn - 2yrs, $29 mil https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2025/12/pirates-to-sign-ryan-ohearn.html
  18. There have been a lot of events over the past two years that make me feel like we’ve hit rock bottom; we aren’t quite there yet. Pohlads exploring new lows for Twins Territory. Gleeman: Twins are out-spending the Pirates by just $5 million right now.
  19. Last year we got Mickey Gasper on Christmas Eve. Maybe Falvey Claus will surprise and delight us again in 2025?
  20. They could sign Bregman, Tucker, Bichette, and Bellinger and they’d still lose games if they don’t figure out the bullpen.
  21. Actions speak louder than words. Most of what Tom said was good but some of it was a little off. On a recent Gleeman and the Geek, Aaron and TFT said 70/30. As in 70% of what he said was the right stuff and 30% felt odd. Regardless, the Twins are one of only a couple teams that have 1 person in charge of business and baseball operations. Falvey should only be doing one of those roles. I’d say put him on the business side and get somebody new in to run the baseball operations.
  22. I agree and think that he would’ve been a good target for the Twins. Never heard of them being linked to him, so I’m sure they weren’t even thinking about it.
  23. AL Central is getting spicy! https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2025/12/white-sox-to-sign-munetaka-murakami.html
  24. Larnach + MiLB arm to the Rockies for Vodnik. or Larnach + MiLB arm to the Padres for Rodriguez or Marinaccio. If Kreidler can play SS and CF, keep him as the back up and DFA Outman. This open 40 man spot can be used to sign Taylor Clarke to the bullpen for $2.5-$3 mil.
