  1. Bradley will be a starting pitcher for Mexico in the WBC. Any conversion they would make with him would be after spring training. With Ryan, Lopez and Bradley all out for the WBC there are a lot of innings available to see what else we’ve got.
  2. It would be nice to have a few more veterans to help stabilize this pen as the young guys are learning. These “failed” starters are going to be asked to make changes physically and psychologically as they convert. Starters have a predictable schedule. Relievers have to get ready after a phone call, pitch back to back days, get shelled and come back the next day ready to go etc.
  3. If it weren’t for the $10 million we are paying C4 to play third base for the Astros, the Twins would have a lower payroll than the Pirates. While I agree that payroll isn’t everything, this org isn’t set up to win in this environment. Gleeman: Derek Shelton went from Pittsburgh to Minnesota just as the two teams started spending similarly. Twins are currently out-spending the Pirates by just $3 million for 2026, and that includes eating $10 million of Carlos Correa's salary to play for another team.
  4. The Dodgers released Anthony Banda today. Set to make $1.6mm this year he’d be a good fit for the Twins bullpen. Maybe they’d take Outman back to jump the line 😂 https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2026/02/dodgers-designate-anthony-banda-for-assignment.html
  5. I like it, but I wish they wouldn’t have gotten rid of the baby blues.
  6. Baltimore is still looking for some starting pitching. How about a package starting with Ober or SWR for Mayo? Maybe Larnach isn’t a big move, but something needs to give among those left-handed corner outfield DH types.
  7. Lopez, Ryan, and Bradley will be at the WBC so there will be plenty of innings available for Zebby and Festa in ST. Keep them stretched out for now, no need to make the decision until later in camp.
  8. Good idea. Is Zoll a member on TD? He should read this. IKF and Andujar have signed at 1 yr $6m and $4m respectively. At this point Lowe is in that range. Larnach + MiLB pitcher for Romero (Cards) or Vodnik (Rox) Sign Kopech while they’re at it.
  9. He’s got the top average fastball of the guys currently in the BP. Curious to see what Maki and Hawkins can do with him.
  10. Cardinals are apparently looking for an outfielder. In steps Trevor Larnach. They have some lefties so that’s not great. How about Larnach + pitching prospect for JoJo Romero? Anyone else in that bullpen that’s intriguing? https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2026/02/cardinals-rumors-add-outfielder-trade-free-agency.html
  11. Twins claim Jackson Kowar RHP from the Mariners. 40 man at 40
  12. Plouffe has long been one of my favorite Twins and I like listening to him on his jomboy shows. I heard him say last week that he has been working with Matt Wallner. Here is an article from Puckett’s pond, saying the same thing. Love to see it! https://puckettspond.com/trevor-plouffe-predicts-breakout-season-for-twins-slugger-he-s-been-working-with-01kftx91867d
  13. The rotation is a strength. Maybe the only one the Twins have right now. The roster is a puzzle with all corners and edges and that bullpen?!?
  14. Just saw the terms of the Caratini contract and thought I’d share. Caratini will make $4M this season, and $6.5M for 2027. There is a $3.5M buyout on a $12M mutual option for 2028.
  15. Falvey’s job was getting harder. It’s hard to win with no resources. Payroll, scouting, tech, development all heading in the wrong direction budget-wise. Just like Baldelli, Falvey will get hired again. We’re stuck with the Pohlads. Tom thinks his business sense and clubhouse vibes are worth wins on the field. He is overestimating both. I liked this bit from a Souhan piece this morning: Tom Pohlad has yet to say anything that would inspire confidence in a discerning fan. During a Zoom news conference on Jan. 30, he asked that we stop obsessing over payroll size. He also said that if the Twins win this year, then the payroll will go up. Which ignores the fact that sometimes you have to increase the payroll to win.
  16. Going to be hard with their jumbled roster and lack of high leverage relievers.
  17. Kopech and Drew Smith have high ceilings but comewith injury risk. Call the Rox back up and work out some sort of package including Larnach for Vodnik.
  18. This organization continues to baffle me. Tom did say he was a go big or go home guy.
  19. More cash considerations. I guess Julien isn’t going to rule again. At least not in Twins Territory.

  21. Down to 14 days until pitchers and catchers report. Still the same questions. ⏳
