MLB Trade Rumors has an article about the Twins shopping Alex Jackson. Probably won’t net much but he doesn’t make sense as a 3rd C on the 40. Package him with Larnach for a RH reliever?

Enjoy the day off from Twins baseball ⚾️
6 games left until the season opener. BoSox x3, ATL, Tor, and TB. Tomorrow is also the Spring Breakout - our prospects against the Phils prospects.
Altavilla is back from his time with team Italy. Should get in a couple more games here (only 6 left). He’s looked pretty good so far, although not on the 40 man.
In an early March Strib article they said they wanted to keep him stretched out as a starter. Doesn’t mean he won’t be in the bullpen sometime this summer though.
Last year we saw Pablo, Joe, Ober, SWR, Paddack, Festa, Matthews, Bradley, Ohl, Adams. I wasn’t trying to compare twins to other teams just saying that we are going to see our pitching depth on full display this summer.
Ober’s start today 3.17.26 per Gleeman:
Bailey Ober's average fastball velocity was down even more today vs. the Phillies.
Start #1 — 89.9 mph
Start #2 — 88.8 mph
Start #3 — 88.2 mph
Ober threw 58 pitches today and none of them cracked 90 mph. He also failed to record a strikeout and got just three swing-and-misses.
Ober will get some run in the short term, he’s earned it. Giolito also wouldn’t be ready to throw in a game for a while anyways. I read a Gleeman article that we haven’t used less than seven pitchers in 15 years. We are going to get a chance to see just about everybody on the twins prospect list at some point in 2026.
Opening day is 10 days away. Per MLB.com concussion requires a 7 day IL and then a structured return to play protocol. If he truly has a concussion, then I feel it is unlikely he’ll be on the roster for opening day. I’ve read Martin will be reevaluated on Wednesday.
Probably opens the door for Wagaman if they want another RH bat.
Happy Saint Paddy‘s day ☘️
