    Was hoping they’d spend some money here to find a right handed bat to push Clemens to the bench. Maybe this is a path for Fedko to the MLB, platoon with Clemens.

    Royce told the world what he needs. Shelton made a great impression by flying to TX to hang. Keep him at 3rd, stop batting him 7th, and I think he’ll settle in as a 110-120 OPS+ guy.

    Rumor is that they’d like Rowson as the bench coach. Shelton said he wanted guys with MLB experience and he’s going after that. Like the group so far.

    Bobby Jr: Grady Sizemore will also be the Twins’ first-base coach next season. As noted in the story, Ramon Borrego will be back next year as well, one of the holdovers from Rocco Baldelli’s staff. Borrego will be the third-base coach.

    Just like the FO, we get to wait for the Pohlads to tell us what the payroll is. Which is unfortunate because other teams are already talking about their priorities for the off-season. That being said, I’m ready to add Kyle Tucker to my blueprint.

    Festa to the bullpen is a good take. If Lopez and Ryan are not on the roster, then these guys (Pohlads/FO) are not serious about competing.

    All about that roster. Kinley seems like a good fit and won’t break the bank.

    Love the LaTroy signing for the bullpen coach. Who’s going to be in his bullpen. Right now it is just Sands and Fundy. I’m much more concerned with the roster construction that I am about the Shelton hiring.

    I don’t think the Twins will be shopping in the top 50 free agents aisle. Probably find them over in the top 75 to 100 aisle.

    per Gleeman: Twins dropped the following players from the 40-man roster in the first round of offseason housecleaning: - Jose Miranda - Thomas Hatch - Michael Tonkin - Anthony Misiewicz - Genesis Cabrera - Cody Laweryson Laweryson was claimed off waivers. Everyone else is now a free agent.

    I hate the premise of this but with no shared plans we are left to fill in the blanks. I’d like to think they will answer some payroll questions tomorrow at the Shelton presser but they probably won’t.

    I voted for 111 to 120 but I feel like that’s being optimistic. Everything is setting up like the Pohlads are gonna ride this thing through the new CBA and then try to sell again. I like the end result there, but they aren’t going to spend money in the next two years.

    Well, the Twins do still need a 1B. Not sure about the payroll, Falvey still had to talk to the Pohlads last time he was asked about it. Maybe we’ll find out if he has at the Shelton presser on Tuesday?
