  1. He is Julien with more power and better defense. Now, there are a wide range of opinions on that translating to MLB and Julien isn't exactly supporting those of us who thought he wouldn't have a sophomore slump. Schobel had more homers at high A. I didn't look but maybe they are about the same rate per AB. Again, very interested to see how Keaschall does at AA.
  2. What was wrong with the last two games? Last game, he had exactly one bad pitch, the one that hit the batter on the foot with two strikes.
  3. Emmanuel Rodriguez. It's a real gamble that he will succeed right away but he is cheaper.
  4. Severino, no. He's in more danger of being dropped from the 40 man than playing for the Twins this year. Wallner's having a rough season but Severino's numbers are even worse (plus, when Lewis returns, we have more than enough players at 1B and 3B with Miranda playing well).
  5. Hallelujah!
  6. Very interested to see how Keaschall does in Wichita. Schobel kind of had the same numbers at high A and it's taking time for him to conquer AA. Does Keaschall surpass him?
  7. Complaining about an 18 year-old kid pitching "so poorly" when he didn't give up any runs is just wrong. He's healthy and learning and not going to be anywhere near MLB for some time. Let the kid grow.
  8. Your right. Zebby's #'s are way beyond anyone. How could I forget. If those two stay in the minors long enough, they could be fighting each other for Twins minor league pitcher of the year.
  9. Festa is looking like he wants to be the next man up when we need a starting pitcher. He's got to be the Twins minor league pitcher of the month.
  10. Only the opposition. They are probably saying, "C'mon Twins, this isn't fair to have both these guys rehabbing at the same time. They are too good and belong in a higher level by now."
  11. FCL Twins are getting really good. They added Cory Lewis on rehab to join Jenkins and Lee.
  12. Many were saying, "wait until Emma Rodriguez gets to AA, that's where the holes in swing will show." Now, it's changed to, "wait until he gets to AAA or MLB, that's where his swing and misses will not work." Emma has speed, power, knows the strike zone, plays great defense (maybe not elite in CF??). I'm very excited about him. He's rated #10 in all of baseball prospects!! Love Lee and Jenkins as well. Moved Emma to #2 just because Lee had this back injury.
  13. Yes, consistency. Lights out last night but other nights he walks guys and other nights they hit him (I'm assuming he's trying not to walk guys and ends up with too many pitches down the middle). I think Wichita is a great place for him to continue to work on this for now. I have him in my top 20 as he has a high ceiling.
  14. Interesting Seth. You are about as high on Martin as anyone. What do you see him being for the Twins in the future?
  15. Culpepper should be promoted when he is fully ramped up BUT that Wichita rotation doesn't have room (not sure Raya or anyone is ready for AAA quite yet). Nowlin might have been the guy but look what he did last night. And the guys in Wichita, mostly the same guys who were in Cedar Rapids last year, are doing the same thing - start the year slow but really starting to play great now. And Brian Dinkleman and Cedar Rapids keeps sending players to Wichita and yet they keep winning.
  16. The hope is that Keirsey is still rising, still improving. You just don't know who is a AAAA player (can do great at AAA but isn't much good at MLB) until they get a chance.
  17. Kirilloff is making Miranda look good right now. Who plays 1B for the Twins in 2025 - Kirilloff, Miranda, Santana, or none of the above? Is Julien actually an option there?
  18. I have 4 of the Twins minor league catchers as possibly being major leaguers, all fairly closely ranked - Camargo (already on the 40 man roster), Cardenas (best defender from what I can tell), Olivar (the youngest and rawest in experience), and Cossetti. Cossetti's K rate at AA is concerning but he has really hit well this week. You can tell which players the Twins consider as potential MLB players as they will bat in the top 4 in the lineup. All of these guys do that.
  19. Odd that Cory Lewis goes down 7 spots due to an unknown injury but Preilipp actually moves up a spot after being injured for 2-3 years.
  20. I'm thinking the Twins want that shoulder healthy before moving him up. Rucker is playing well and Schobel is going to play. Rucker is repeating AA so I'm not sure the Twins see him as a legit MLB prospect. Ross and Ortega's #'s are both disappointing after good to great #'s at A ball. But that's what happens when players hit AA. Keaschall and Schobel will get their 5 games per week and everyone else has to capitalize on any time they get to play.
  21. Eeles and Hess, two free agent pickups during the season this year, have really started out well. They are carrying the Fort Myers hitters right now. Nice starts by our pitching - Matthews, Klein, Langenberg and even Dobnak for his short stint.
  22. The last half of 2023. Over a two month period the Twins went from mediocre to sealing up the division. He was clutch, hitting five grand slams, and it somehow rubbed off on everyone else.
  23. At this point, I think the Twins will really take their time with Lee. Multiple reasons - don't want the injury to be chronic or reoccur, he needs to get into shape, he needs to succeed at AAA, and the Twins may not want him to play too many games with them this year and lose his rookie status (getting another #1 draft pick if Lee is rookie of the year in 2025 is gold to most teams). Lee will be so close to the rookie cut off by the time he is ready to play for the Twins, it may now be worth manipulating that time (though that will never be mentioned as the reason).
