Even though the sample size is small this year, if I read correctly, his career sample also ranks him low. He may just not be a good fielder. Athleticism doesn't always translate to being a good fielder - see Keaschall.

Sprock gets the headlines but 3 for 3 with 3 walks doesn't get him hitter of the day? Surprising. I also I thought the league Fort Myers is in has always been a pitchers league. What's going on this year with the football scores?

Is Kala’i Rosario Back on Twins’ Prospect Map?
FlyingFinn replied to Cody Christie's topic in Twins Minor League Talk
Rosario probably makes Wallner look good in the outfield, and that isn't good. Therefore, he is well behind Jenkins, Rodriguez and Roden, and probably Gonzalez. Thus, to answer your question, Rosario isn't on the Twins prospects radar right now and won't be added to the 40 man roster at the end of the year. -
Who's better - Tait or Lackey? Sounds like everyone is saying Lackey.

I'd be curious about the comparison to Noah Miller at High A.

Correct, he won't skip AAA. Not many catchers do. His issue is how he plays defense at catcher. Lot easier to make it to the majors if that's good. I think he still has a lot of work to do.

Pitching seems to have gone the way of the dinosaur in the low minors lately.

I'm most disappointed in Keaschall's defense than anything. He looks Julien-esque.

Rosario - Mendez already got called up ahead of him, Roden's back, and Jenkins is coming. I think he missed his window with his poor start with Wallner and Gonzalez also needing playing time now.

If I have to pick one it's Kreidler. He's the best on defense and plays both SS and CF, a combo that's hard to find.

Is Kody Clemens here to stay in the future, in a backup role somewhat similar to what Willi Castro was? He can play 5 positions and is decent to good on defense. Seems to hustle and be a good teammate.

The trade was for Berrios' one partial year anyway. He was never signing with the Twins so any extension doesn't count.

We traded for Banda, unless your saying he was DFA'd prior to his stint with the Dodgers.

If I had to pick a trio of hitters on a Twins minor league team who have really had a great, and a little surprising, somewhat unexpected season so far, I'm picking Houston, McDaniel and Mercedes. Nice job guys.

Certainly true but the posters first point was that it was all Keaschall's fault that the game wasn't tied. And that really wasn't the case. You could fault Caratini and the catchers interference with 2 outs and, I believe, 2 strikes on the batter. That essentially lost Ober's best chance to get through the inning and may have moved the bullpen usage up more, forcing us to use Klein. But this is certainly speculative as maybe Ober doesn't get out of the 5th anyway.
