  1. I disagree with you on this point. Pitchers get taken more than hitters in the Rule 5 draft. On top of that, you almost never see a 26 year-old hitter taken. I predict Fedko won't be taken in that draft.
  2. I give high marks to Provus and Morneau. I like Atteberry as well. Gladden is terrible as I'm too often left wondering what actually happened on a play when he's doing play-by-play.
  3. Morneau basically said the Yankees knew what pitch Zebby was throwing, especially with a guy on 2nd. The Yankee runner on 2nd at the time took about a 2 foot lead so he could see Zebby's hand on the ball in his glove. He also said the batter would have taken a fastball in the ribs when that happened when he played.
  4. No chance on Jenkins. They aren't going to add him to the 40 man at this point. If he is good enough, he will be added at the end of spring training.
  5. Blasted! Tulsa was losing but minor league bullpens are... worse than the Twins bullpens. So they made a comeback.
  6. Wallach. Tim already had a good career!
  7. I can't understand all the people that want Kody Clemens gone in other threads. As a bench player, he plays pretty good defense, covers 4 positions and he has some pop, along with the ability to go on a hot streak.
  8. Why wasn't Culpepper playing? Okay, found the answer. He was hit by a pitch on Sunday and hasn't played since. Tough break in a playoff race.
  9. Admittedly, I haven't watched many Twins games lately - so someone correct me if I'm wrong. Is 2023 Julien much different than 2025 Keaschall? Defensively, from what I've seen, neither looks great. I've seen Keaschall botch some easy double play grounders. And Keaschall's arm has looked bad (it's going to get better, correct?). I was excited about Julien's hitting in 2023 and have the same excitement for Keaschall. Julien stole 10-20 bases per year in the minors and that didn't translate to MLB. But Keaschall's speed has translated. In summary, I love Keaschall and pray that he continues everything he's done offensively in future years.
  10. Neither are the Pirates IIRC. Edit - No, I was wrong. It's the Nats, Angels, Rockies, and Cardinals.
  11. Saints fans, this may be your only chance to see Jenkins at the Saints stadium. A couple more weeks like this and it's more likely he starts next year at Target Field.
  12. Some others have commented that they don't get too excited about college players succeeding at A ball. I think I agree. AA is another story. Culpepper's success there plus he can play defense at SS is what really gets me excited. First, can Amick hit at AA. Then, can he play decent defense anywhere?
  13. I forget - was it Wichita or Cedar Rapids that won the 1st half and is going to the playoffs? If it wasn't Wichita, do they have a shot at winning the 2nd half title?
  14. Rosario hitting so well since April and yet Gonzalez and Jenkins passed him by to AAA. Gonzalez is now hitting at AAA and Jenkins will certainly be with the Twins sometime in 2026. Not sure where Rosario will fit in. Fedko - are the Twins not giving him a shot because they will try to slip him past the Rule 5 draft? I say yes due to age and this being his first great year (plus, teams take a lot more pitchers). Pereda - #'s look great but if the Twins don't dare call you up in place of Gasper... it kind of tells us what the Twins think of him. Great month by these guys to make the Twins and us think about each of them - should they get a shot or not on the Twins?
  15. I'm quite sure it won't continue in MLB, if Rosario makes it there. Julien stole 34 bases in 2021 in A ball and then 19 bases in 2022 with Wichita. Now, he gets pinch ran for with the Twins. I was excited that he could steal bases for the Twins. I've learned that a lot of these bases are stolen on the minor league pitchers not holding the runner well or the catchers arms not being great at that level.

  17. Kiersey, Davis and Adams up. Davis is probably up for 4 days until Pablo replaces him.
