  1. "both Walker Jenkins and Brooks Lee were activated from their rehab assignments as well." Why did Jenkins get pulled early? Usually only happens on rehab assignments.
  2. I think Farmer starts every game against LH's at 2B. Castro will play either LF or CF.
  3. Wow, great stat that I didn't know. Our team stats are quite different if you lump Cleveland, New York and Baltimore into one group and put the rest of the opponents in another group (not that I actually have any of them).
  4. Our Acuna is with our FCL team. Bryan Acuna is off to a nice start, 6 for 12 with 3 doubles.
  5. No, the development list. This isn't for injuries. It's either to work on some part of his game (unlikely the way he's pitching) or just a roster shuffle for a few days (which seems to happen). This is the guy I'm concerned about with injury as he has the forearm strain.
  6. Nice to see our starters pitch well in 3 of 4 games - Dobnak, Morris and Perez. The Wichita bullpen has been better this week.............until today with one more blown save.
  7. Saints fans get ready for some better baseball - Julien and most likely Lee headed your way! Any update on Brock Stewart? He sure has been gone a long time again.
  8. I think even people who don't like Rocco would say he outmanaged the opposition today. Good use of the pen with a day off tomorrow, pinch running at the right time (unlike not doing so for Abreu), bunting when both teams had their great bullpen pitchers lined up, and getting our better defenders out there in the end.
  9. Wow, except for Fort Myers, our starting pitching was even worse than yesterday. Then, the bad news that CJ Culpepper has the dreaded right forearm strain. Payton Eeles is just killing low A pitching. Time for him to be promoted.
  10. Very SSS but Castillo appears to be our Stewart from last year at the moment.
  11. Exactly and now he is having a Tommy John type of surgery so these next two seasons are probably pretty much shot.
  12. Lots of mediocre to bad starts from our starters except for Cory Lewis on rehab. The bullpens haven't been great this year, They were tonight except for Josh Winder and Jay Jackson's 4 runs allowed. Everyone else went a combined 23 innings and didn't let up a single run. My favorite reliever is Regi Grace at Wichita.
  13. Please make this list of 20 year-old All-Stars public for every team.
  14. For what it's worth, Steer and Encarnocion-Strand aren't exactly playing great this year: Steer - .221 avg, .724 OPS, 6 homers Strand - .190, .513, and 2 HR's for the no glove player who makes Miranda look like a gold-glover.
  15. 100% agreed. I was actually going to type this. I'm a Julien fan but I think a reset until an injury occurs would do him good. His improvement on defense has been great as he is no longer taken out. Miranda is. But Miranda's bat is too good not to play. He looks like the Miranda from 2022. Too bad his defense hasn't improved much.
  16. I've seen guys go on this list and come off 3 or 4 days later. Seems like sometimes it is used for roster juggling reasons. Just guessing.
  17. The Twins have been signing some free agents. Hess and Eeles have been fantastic at low A Fort Myers. Hess already moved up to high A Cedar Rapids this week. Eeles looks good and plays 2B, With Keaschall moving up, it creates a spot for Eeles there. Some of the FCL guys moved to Fort Myers. This is normal - players either perform or are replaced (though they give first rounders a LONG time to fail).
  18. Yes. Correa said on the post game show (radio) that they have practiced on having the throws go towards first base. Great play by both, even if the throw was a little more towards first base than planned.
  19. Anthony Prato's #'s are looking eerily similar to his start last year in Wichita, maybe with more walks. I thought he would take off by now and get better like Helman is doing.
  20. I joked about Vazquez earlier. He is so terrible on offense but so great on defense. He is Maldanado as @tony&rodney said. For the moment, Jeffers isn't exactly knocking the cover off the ball either. Interesting question I haven't seen brought up - who in the world is our #3 catcher in the minors right now? Camargo has been on the IL most of the month. Can't be Chris Williams because he isn't much good defensively. Winkel I guess but he hits like Vazquez in AAA. The Twins will continue to alternate catchers for this additional reason to try keep them healthy.
  21. Vazquez can't hit a lick but he looks like one of the best defensive catchers in the league. Ober may see 110 pitches tomorrow as I doubt Duran and Jax are available. Interesting bullpen day.
  22. Agreed. I still think the Twins love the lefty/righty split that they currently have on the team. If Margot is dumped, they could call up Helman. You and I would probably be fine with it but I think most on TD will say "why not Kiersey?" Kiersey probably needs an injury to a LH hitting outfielder to get his shot (or Buxton getting hurt as I think he is our 2nd best defender out there - not lefty for lefty in this situation I know).
  23. Let's have him retire and become a coach for his $10 million 😀
