    Ryan did his job pretty nicely. They beat us one good swung to our none. One pitch. One swing. We just didn't get ours. Good job, Joe. Not good enough unfortunately. How about Rooker though? 2 hits. Small victories.

    I am finally feeling comfortable being in the room with so many others who are speaking out against Polanco moving back to ss. It felt like I was alone. His bat plays. But he is not what we need at ss. Simmons makes us better. Not perfect, but better. Glove first.

    How about if we intentionally walk the first 2 hitters today. Then turn a first pitch triple play. A one-pitch inning. We'd have to have a name for it. It would help me forget about that 3 pitch inning from the previous game.

    We should keep watching this season because.....? I'd rather watch our future rotation pitch than the castoffs we are getting these days. All due respect to the castoffs.

    That Voit at bat was the game breaker, imo. Ump squeezed us bad. Then a terrible 0 two pitch. Boom.

    If not Ryan, bring "somebodies" else up who might be part of this team's future. Give us a reason to believe our future has hope.

    Dobnak lost his magic when the tacky issue appeared. I think He and Smeltzer don't have enough to offer. Let them walk. Hope our young guys have higher ceilings and make more impact. Improve.

    It's the same question I asked my baseball buddies yesterday. Duffey counts on hitters chasing his first pitch curve balls which are too far outside. From there it's an uphill battle. His catcher must see it.

    An excellent game by our pitchers. Two out of three would be excellent too. Go Ober. I am looking forward the Field of Dreams game.

    Their hitters punished our pitchers' mistakes. Why don't ours? Watching Kepler swing at two balls in the dirt and then taking a called strike 3 right down the middle of the plate befuddled me. (Previous game) I miss James Rowson.

    I am not seeing any improvement in Larnach. Not at the plate. Not on the field. Not running the bases. Not with his defense. Nothing.

    I took a Rally Nap in the 3rd inning. Pretty dismal start to this series opener at home. It looked like an early morning get-away day game.

    Larnach is slow footed. But he thinks he is fast. Does not run the bases well. Makes poor choices. He does not set himself up for throws after the catch is made. He throws to the wrong base. Nothing impressive about his arm. Holes in his swing that are being exploited over and over. It's been a while since I have seen him barrel one up. Way more to criticize than to be hopeful for. He shows little sign of progressing or learning. And I am being patient.

    I hope for more jet lag from the Asstros in today's game. They were flat yesterday. Our good fortune.

    Larnach's at bats are painful to watch. Yes, worse than Sano. Hard to watch.

    If the NL adopts the DH for next year there will be no more Loogies.
