I'd rather see Arraez at 2b and have Polanco as the switch hitting DH.
  2. joefish
But I don't want to settle for more of that. No thanks.
  3. joefish
    Larnach does that too.

14-2 today's game. No sweat. We have nothing to worry about.

Nomo Romo, Please. Onward and upward.
  6. joefish
    Dilly! Dilly.
  7. joefish
    GO, OPTIMISM!
  8. joefish
Wouldn't Polanco also be a step backward at SS? In my mind it would be.
  9. joefish
What a great question. Why not keep him in his best position?
  10. joefish
I'd take Kirilloff over Larnach if given the choice.
  11. joefish
I vote no Jorge is not my ss.

I don't think Dobnak had a a good start after the sticky-stuff-spin-rate issue culminated.
  13. joefish
Keep that line moving. Let him go.
  14. joefish
I think Larnach's defense is his weakness. That concerns me.
  15. joefish
When all else fails, lower your standards.
  16. joefish
Who will they be better than? 60 wins maybe
  17. joefish
I would bring him back. I'd declare offensive indifference, sign him for his glove, and HOPE that has a stronger season with his bat. He should be a great mentor for whoever is going to fill his shoes.

I might miss baseball, but as a fan. I won't suffer. I don't get that. I will actually save money.
  19. joefish
I saw nothing in Larnach's defense that was good. He looks slow. Nothing great throwing the ball. Didn't hit much. Sloppy defense. Some of those can be coached. Some can't. He Is a downgrade from Cave, IMO. We will miss Kepler if Larnach is our new rf.

Maybe this will be our very own Lance Lynn miracle story.

Try signing elite pitchers with the enticement of an infield defense that isn't a priority. It's tough enough to bring in elite pitchers.
  22. joefish
Fear not. Bleak Friday is coming soon.
  23. joefish
My cutter was a fastball with a little wrist twist which made it run horizontally.
  24. joefish
It sounds like a cutter to me.

If they wouldn't have given Dobnak that contract he would be long gone.
