  1. Yes on Jorge. Jip Jip Jorge. Wasn't he first brought up as a second baseman? The ss assignment was a mistake, imo.
  2. Watch the playoff bullpen arms. The teams still playing. Go get us some of them. I could feel the energy as Chicago marched their bullpen arms in. I am 3000 miles away. The fans were energized too.
  3. I don't want to see Jorge starting at SS. No. Gotta get better defender. Make ss a priority.
  4. Rooker seems to think he doesn't have to pay attention to the details. Larnach too, imo. Both either don't know yet, or don't care that the little things can be game breakers.
  5. Excessive shifting creates the need for versatile players. Putting guys out of their strength positions. I want specialists playing in their best positions. Versatility is over rated, IMHO.
  6. Yes to this, Squirrel. Let's enjoy his success. And Kepler's two home runs. And any other good things that we see happen on the field. Here's to hoping for more successes from any Twin.
  7. I wish someone would have edited Rocco's script to include an opportunity for Maggi to step onto the field while he was up/over.
  8. I'd take Kepler's RF defense over Rooker, or Larnach, or Kirilloff, or anyone else on the roster. I think defense is one reason we moved on from Rosario. Give me specialists over utility and versatility every day.
  9. My wife is a Yankee fan. She said she won't miss Torres if the Yankees decide to upgrade from him. Given that, I say no to a trade that would bring him to the Twins.
  10. Polanco has to stay at 2b. Not Arraez, unless they trade Jorge. So I say let's see what Gordon can do at SS. Run him out there for the rest of the season. Let him get comfortable, at least for a few games.
  11. There is an interesting read over in a Yankees article citing the 4 players their organization has "mismanaged." Gil is one of those 4. Badly screwed.
  12. I could not convince myself to read a ranking of our worst players. So I did not.
  13. Good game. I watch Ryan get swings and misses and wonder why and how. Batters are reacting with surprise. Location. Location. Strikes up, down, in and out. Impressive so far. Fun to watch A bit of hope.
  14. Maybe Dobnak lost his feel when they took away all the stickem. I can't see him helping us. It's too bad about that contract.
  15. I was hoping he would have shaved and gotten a haircut. But instead it's, "Let the kids play."
  16. Ryan did his job pretty nicely. They beat us one good swung to our none. One pitch. One swing. We just didn't get ours. Good job, Joe. Not good enough unfortunately. How about Rooker though? 2 hits. Small victories.
  17. Ober's uptick in velocity looks meteoric. Nice. But is one mph really significant? Really, not so much I think.

    Just Dreamin'

I am finally feeling comfortable being in the room with so many others who are speaking out against Polanco moving back to ss. It felt like I was alone. His bat plays. But he is not what we need at ss. Simmons makes us better. Not perfect, but better. Glove first.
  19. How about if we intentionally walk the first 2 hitters today. Then turn a first pitch triple play. A one-pitch inning. We'd have to have a name for it. It would help me forget about that 3 pitch inning from the previous game.
  20. We should keep watching this season because.....? I'd rather watch our future rotation pitch than the castoffs we are getting these days. All due respect to the castoffs.
  21. That Voit at bat was the game breaker, imo. Ump squeezed us bad. Then a terrible 0 two pitch. Boom.
  22. If not Ryan, bring "somebodies" else up who might be part of this team's future. Give us a reason to believe our future has hope.
  23. Dobnak lost his magic when the tacky issue appeared. I think He and Smeltzer don't have enough to offer. Let them walk. Hope our young guys have higher ceilings and make more impact. Improve.
