  1. Why is Castro even a trade subject? His salary doesn't impact the budget, Buxton's does. It's time to cut sling load on Buck. Trading Buck saves the team $60M!! Ten years and he's had 100 hits in a season ONE time. Management has been too patient and too loyal. They haven't gotten their monies worth at all. If you are a fan of launch angles and strikeouts, Buck is your man. If you are a fan of a player who will do anything for the team to win, Willi is your guy.
  2. I saw the Twins at the Trop last September. May is still a good time for outside baseball in Tampa. Love the small ballparks in the Citrus league.

  4. Max hit. 36 dongs in 2019, not 38.
  5. 2024 Twins MVP Willi Castro is projected to make around $6.2M in arbitration. That's a steal when you look at their lineup. We have "superstars" who can't stay on the field. He fills in for all of them. Willi is worth every dollar. Worry about how you can keep players on the field. Willi has proven you don’t have to worry about him.
  6. The writer is way too kind. Max has been good, and sometimes great (2019), but he is not Twins HoF worthy.
  7. This is the best option I've seen yet. Do not break up the top 3 starting pitchers. We haven't had three starters like this since 1991. Move on from Varland.
  8. Please fire Baldelli. Analytics are not what baseball is about. You've gotta go with your gut as well. Yanking starters and never playing a consistent line-up is not how you play baseball on the major league level.
  9. Twins need to move on from Rocco. They also need to overhaul their training staff. How does your young superstar 3B pull his quad running to 3rd base in the first game of the year? Rocco relies on analytics to develop a starting lineup each night when to pull the SP. Why he pulled Ober the other night after 7 one-hit innings is beyond me. He had KC's number and Rocco let a computer printout tell him what to do. Give Royce a day off, then let him play out the year at 3B. He's gotta learn about the "grind" any way. Might as well be this year. Put him in a corner OF spot next year and play Miranda at 3B. Stop coddling the youngsters and play baseball!
  10. Sign a legit DH. Move Julien back to 2B. Allow him to improve on the job in the field. Move Polanco to 1B. AK is hurt too often and inconsistent. Pray Buxton can play 150 games for once.
  11. No way on any of them. Who wrote this piece? Slow day?
  12. Baseball has changed so much over the years. But one thing that hasn't changed is you have to make contact with the ball. Anything can happen if you actually hit the ball somewhere in the field. I hate the "swinging from your ass" philosophy these days. But then again, I hate watching centers launch 3's in the NBA. I'm just old school I guess.
  13. Mentally, the DH is difficult if you don't do it consistently. Rocco hasn't gone with a set lineup since he became the manager. Too much tinkering is not a good thing IMO.
