  1. Trade Correa for picks or AA/AAA players. Trade Vazquez for a minor league C. Trade picks for Adolis Garcia DH and let him just swing. Move Brooks Lee to SS and Willi to 2B. Demote Keirsey and promote Keaschall. Keep pitching staff intact unless a SP under $5M is available. Let the kids play and improve. C: Ryan Jeffers ($4.70M) 1B: Ty France ($1.00M) 2B: Willi Castro ($6.20M) 3B: Royce Lewis ($2.30M) SS: Brooks Lee ($0.80M) LF: Trevor Larnach ($2.10M) CF: Byron Buxton ($15.00M) RF: Matt Wallner ($0.80M) DH: Adolis García ($9.25M) 4th OF: Harrison Bader ($6.25M) Utility: Luke Keaschall ($0.80M) Utility: Kody Clemens ($0.80M) Backup C: Noah Cardenes ($0.80M) NA: Dead Money Here ($0.00M) SP1: David Festa ($0.80M) SP2: Joe Ryan ($3.80M) SP3: Bailey Ober ($4.30M) SP4: Chris Paddack ($7.50M) SP5: Simeon Woods Richardson ($0.80M) RP: Jhoan Duran ($3.70M) RP: Brock Stewart ($0.80M) RP: Griffin Jax ($2.60M) RP: Danny Coulombe ($3.00M) RP: Cole Sands ($0.80M) RP: Justin Topa ($1.30M) RP: Louie Varland ($0.80M) RP: Joey Wentz ($0.80M) NA: Dead Money Here ($0.00M) Payroll is 43.59% under budget
  2. Surprised Rocco was extended during a 3-17 streak. Makes organization look silly.
  3. With the team sale influx, the Twins will not make a big move to acquire a front-line starter or a catcher to keep this team in the wild card hunt. Vazquez is what we have to deal with until Jeffers recovers. How did they not address catching at AAA earlier? Where would this team be without their 15-game winning streak? There is so much time left in the season, I hope they make a move and shake it up a little bit.
  4. Rocco does not manage. The tablet on the bench next to him makes the decisions.
  5. Our training staff is the abject failure in this equation. He's pulled a hammy two years in a row running the bases. Even our Service League coaches would make us stretch out before a game, and we were teenagers.
  6. Too small sample size (3 yrs). Lyman left via FA, not traded. Rodney Cline was traded.
  7. It seems as though the Twins aren't truly concerned about 1B. They will plug in everybody to play according to what Rocco's tablet tells him to do that day. I recommend they put Jeffers at 1B since he doesn't "frame" well enough. Bottom line is the Twins will not spend while they are for sale.
  8. Pull the trigger, even if for one season. Four top of the line starters will keep us in every game while the hitters will try and figure it out.
  9. Why is Castro even a trade subject? His salary doesn't impact the budget, Buxton's does. It's time to cut sling load on Buck. Trading Buck saves the team $60M!! Ten years and he's had 100 hits in a season ONE time. Management has been too patient and too loyal. They haven't gotten their monies worth at all. If you are a fan of launch angles and strikeouts, Buck is your man. If you are a fan of a player who will do anything for the team to win, Willi is your guy.
  10. I saw the Twins at the Trop last September. May is still a good time for outside baseball in Tampa. Love the small ballparks in the Citrus league.
  11. C: Ryan Jeffers ($4.70M) 1B: Jose Miranda ($0.80M) 2B: Brooks Lee ($0.80M) 3B: Royce Lewis ($2.30M) SS: Carlos Correa ($36.00M) LF: Trevor Larnach ($2.10M) CF: Byron Buxton ($15.00M) RF: Matt Wallner ($0.80M) DH: Edouard Julien ($0.80M) 4th OF: Austin Martin ($0.80M) Utility: Willi Castro ($6.20M) Utility: DaShawn Keirsey ($0.80M) Backup C: Jair Carmago ($0.80M) NA: Dead Money Here ($0.00M) SP1: Pablo Lopez ($21.50M) SP2: Joe Ryan ($3.80M) SP3: Bailey Ober ($4.30M) SP4: Zebby Matthews ($0.80M) SP5: Simeon Woods Richardson ($0.80M) RP: Jhoan Duran ($3.70M) RP: Brock Stewart ($0.80M) RP: Griffin Jax ($2.60M) RP: Jorge Alcala ($1.50M) RP: Cole Sands ($0.80M) RP: Justin Topa ($1.30M) RP: Ronny Henriquez ($0.80M) RP: Kody Funderburk ($0.80M) NA: Dead Money Here ($0.00M) Payroll is 11.23% under budget
  12. Max hit. 36 dongs in 2019, not 38.
  13. 2024 Twins MVP Willi Castro is projected to make around $6.2M in arbitration. That's a steal when you look at their lineup. We have "superstars" who can't stay on the field. He fills in for all of them. Willi is worth every dollar. Worry about how you can keep players on the field. Willi has proven you don’t have to worry about him.
  14. The writer is way too kind. Max has been good, and sometimes great (2019), but he is not Twins HoF worthy.
  15. This is the best option I've seen yet. Do not break up the top 3 starting pitchers. We haven't had three starters like this since 1991. Move on from Varland.
  16. Please fire Baldelli. Analytics are not what baseball is about. You've gotta go with your gut as well. Yanking starters and never playing a consistent line-up is not how you play baseball on the major league level.
  17. Twins need to move on from Rocco. They also need to overhaul their training staff. How does your young superstar 3B pull his quad running to 3rd base in the first game of the year? Rocco relies on analytics to develop a starting lineup each night when to pull the SP. Why he pulled Ober the other night after 7 one-hit innings is beyond me. He had KC's number and Rocco let a computer printout tell him what to do. Give Royce a day off, then let him play out the year at 3B. He's gotta learn about the "grind" any way. Might as well be this year. Put him in a corner OF spot next year and play Miranda at 3B. Stop coddling the youngsters and play baseball!
