  1. All of the Gonzalez to the Twins buzz is sapping all of my enthusiasm for the draft. Why take a slow descending prospect at 5. Start the new GM search immediately if that happens.
  2. This would be a terrible pick. Could have probably got him at 13. I already don't like this front office much and this would just reinforce what I already think about them.
  3. I would be happy with any one of the top 5. I like Clark better than Jenkins. Just dont get cute!
  4. Every time the Twins go against the rankings it blows up in thier face. Sabato, Cavaco and so on. Take whichever one of the top 5 that is left. This front office is not that smart. They shocked me last year when they actually took Lee.
  5. I would let Maeda try and fill a middle relief roll 2/3 innings at a time. Home many games do the twins starters come out with a lead or in a close game and the first guy out of the bullpen blows it? Kenta has proven in the past to be pretty good in that roll. It would also ease him back into the mix.
  6. I'm looking at last nights lineup against a Lefty, there is not one bat in the lineup I would rather see than Lewis and he is not even in the lineup. I am not against giving Miranda another chance but I would look at somebody other than Lewis for demotion or IL.
  7. The Saints have been scoring a ton of runs, it would be nice to see some of the production with the Twins.
  8. I said he is not a good DH. Throw him on the DL if he cannot play in the field and DH somebody that can hit better.
  9. ToddlerHarmon hit the nail on the head. Buxton is taking up the spot in the order that is best suited to several of the young guys. Buxton is not a very good DH and adds a ton of value defensively. If Buxton is no longer capable of playing in the field trade him.
  10. I would start with Buxton, he either plays in the field or can go. Gallo adds as much value at DH as Buxton. Cut bait with Kepler and Pagon. Add to the bullpen only and Give Wallner and Julian a chance. Taylor is a nice backup type option but doesn't help the offense much. I would say that Center and DH are the weakest spots in the lineup. I would not be giving Buxton a pass here. He is flailing away at pitches like a little leaguer.
  11. Totally disagree with not wanting him in Center. He isn't that great of a bat to just be a DH. I'd rather have him on the IL until he is healthy enough to play in the field.
  12. Buxton has stated that he would rather play in the field. I have also seen plenty of games where he makes a great defensive play and then clobbers the baseball. He feeds off of his defense. If he is not healthy they should IL him and get another bat in the lineup.
  13. Sonny Gray was also pretty good last month. I was a little surprised to not see him on the list but there were a lot of good performances in May.
  14. DHing Buxton full time seems like the kind of overly safe move a middle tier team that does not expect to win a championship makes. You have the best center fielder in baseball. Let him play center. DH him against lefties and get another right handed bat in the lineup and rest. Otherwise they could get another good bat in the lineup by letting him play center.
  15. Playing Buxton in center would open up a lineup spot at DH for some of the younger talent. Buxton is ok at DH but not the surefire superstar he is when playing center. I truly do not get it. I would rather have 90 games of Buxton in center than the current configuration.
  16. Buxton needs to start playing in the outfield, That would open up DH for somebody like Miranda or Julian and potentially improve the outfield and lineup. Lewis at 3rd with Buxton in center and Miranda at DH sounds like a good option to me. Taylor is a nice backup but is not exciting as a regular center fielder. Gordan should not have been playing as much as he was before getting hurt.
  17. Could you take a look at the pitchers Julian faced while he was with the Twins? If I recall, he faced some pretty tough competition that the rest of the lineup also had trouble with.
  18. Its flattering that the Yankees feel the need for an advantage against our guys. Maybe the tide's have changed.
  19. I have thought for a few years now that Rocco is too cautious with dinged up players. Rest them a little bit when they are dinged up, but don't send everybody to the IL over minor injuries.
  20. I would like to see Julian get a shot. Start Larnach at AAA and let Julian have a crack at 2nd.
  21. How confident are you that Arraez will stay healthy? His knee's are a major concern to me. Not to mention the fact that we don't have enough room for all of the infielders on the roster or that are close in the minors. Good move for the Twins.
  22. I would start by revising his batting stance if it is anything like in the picture.
  23. I would like to see an update on all of the other injured players. Larnach, Ober, Alcala, Maeta and Kepler. Probably missed a few too.
  24. This is who I wanted. Don't like losing CES but the twins didn't have room for Steer. Hajar might also hurt a little, but He is still a few years away. Rotation might be interesting next year with Paddock, Maeta, Ober and Winder all back.
  25. I would like to see an update on where we are with signing our draft class if possible.
