  1. I wouldn't move on from Julien yet. Polanco is not guaranteed to be back next year. Even if Julien takes on a super-utility role like Arraez, there's value in that.
  2. Agree 100 percent on Kepler. When you have a lineup that struggles to score runs, it's hard to hide him. Decisions will have to be made. You can also add Pagan to "decision time". Although many of us would argue that decision should have been made at the end of last season.
  3. Every season will have losses like this. It's just especially frustrating because this team has let so many winnable games slip through their fingers.
  4. Good article, but let's not make him out to be more than he is. Throw out 2021 and he's been a rather mediocre pitcher. If he's willing to take a Paddack type deal, fine. Otherwise, let's move on.
  5. Klein: 11 K's in four innings?! Do we have any Osseo folks on this board that know anything about him? Is he legit?
  6. The Cruz-Ryan trade has worked out well for the Twins, but how much of that was luck? For the best trade I gotta go with Sonny Gray for Chase Petty. Any time you can get two years of a solid mid to top rotation starter for a #10 prospect, you do it. For worst, I'm going with Ryan Pressley. It was a dumb trade at the time and has only gotten worse with age. They threw in the towel on the season and gave up a quality arm that they still had under team control for another season. Alcala and Celestino were not top prospects.
  7. When the booing stops is when the Twins should be concerned. It means the fans have checked out and no longer care. Many of us still care, although I don't know how much more of this garbage I can take.
  8. Definitely time to start calling out Correa. Most players without his pedigree would have already been optioned or DFA'd by now. I have no illusions that he will ever live up to $33 million per year, but he's better than what he's given us so far. It's not fair to the fans who buy the tickets, hot dogs, jerseys, and TV packages that ultimately pay for his salary.
  9. I generally agree it should be Miranda that goes to St Paul. I always assumed Farmer was brought on board as insurance in case Correa didn't come back and/or Miranda struggled. Keeping Miranda on the bench does him no good. He needs to play every day and I think he needs to keep getting time at 3B. It's too early in his career to throw in the towel and put him at first.
  10. Out of curiosity, is there one park you enjoyed over the others that you visited?
  11. At a minimum the league should have brought in Phil Cuzzi to help out the umpiring crew.
  12. Total B.S. Ober is a better pitcher than Maeda right now. This front office is losing me.
  13. Agreed on Kirilloff. I would add that he really hasn't done anything in his short career thus far to justify an automatic spot on the MLB roster. Make him force the issue. (Although with this lineup that shouldn't be difficult.)
  14. Hopefully it's finally dawned on the front office that the bullpen is not as deep as they thought it was. Move Maeda to the pen and put Ober back in the rotation where he belongs.
  15. I'm getting a little tired of washed up pitchers finding their old magic against the Twins.
  16. They're going to miss Coulombe. The Twins bullpen is ok, but if someone gets hurt they're going to find they don't have much depth.
  17. Thx. I'm not in market so we had the Royals television feed. Ryan Lefebvre didn't mention it.
  18. Interesting bullpen usage today. Is something wrong with Duran? He looked fine on Thursday, but Rocco goes with Lopez for the third day in a row and then Pagan for the ninth.
  19. That just ain't right. Who gives the Twins a better chance of winning right now....Maeda or Ober? Maeda has not pitched in a year and a half, and he is most likely gone after this year. He has been terrible so far this spring, whereas Ober has been solid. Let Maeda work out the rust from the bullpen.
  20. AT&T Sportsnet was part of the Warner-Discovery merger. They've already said they are getting out of the RSN business. The old model is all but dead.
  21. I would love to see Martin take the next step forward. The Twins don't really have a true leadoff hitter at the moment, He always has a high OBP and can steal some bases.
  22. I remember when they were auctioning off pieces of the Metrodome. One of the blue hefty bags from right field was listed. I thought about bidding, but then it occurred to me.....what if I won? I guess I could have turned it into a privacy fence, but the HOA might have something to say about it.
