    Wish we hadn't traded for Maeda. A Hansel and Graterol bullpen that got eaten by the rest of the AL would have been fun.

    Especially since they spent two years telling us he was basically Rod Carew. I have no interest in Semien. Thus far, he appears to be like every other Twins where his career year was joke of a 2019 season where pitching was dreadful.

    I would rather have Polanco and Arraez than Semien and Polanco. Semien would have fit in well with the 2019 Twins, a career year when balls are flying all over and out of stadiums.

    Before everyone jumps all over me as a racist, how can MLB possibly hope to accomplish this? Statistics keeping was shoddy at best in these leagues so how are you going to be able to come up with stats? There were also different levels of the Negro Leagues so it's like saying minor league stats count too. Some teams were basically the Harlem Globe Trotters as they just did things for entertainment rather than actual baseball. I've been to the Negro Leagues Museum at least six times and love their history and always come away saddened and inspired at the same time but I don't think their statistics should be included until it is known with certainty that they are accurate, which sadly may never happen. I have the Negro Leagues stratomatic cards and the guy (Scott Simkus) that poured over all these box scores said in an interview that it was impossible to know for certainty the actual statistics these players accrued.

    Hilariously enough, I have wondered about the Dann Howitt card for years. That is a wonderful read. It's great to get the inside story and see that they all take pride in their performance.

    The saddest part of it all is that I have not actually even expected us to win since 2006. Even holding home field in 2010 I had no illusions. Even winning 101 games I had no hope. Even playing a sub-.500 team I knew they would lose. At this point I'm not sure what scenario would give me confidence the Twins could win even a single game.

    With expanded playoffs we also get expanded umpiring crews. The mediocrity is showing.

    Hahahaha, I am in a stratomatic baseball league where I fielded as many Asians as I could and then filled out the roster with as good as I could find. I won the 2013 championship with a lineup featuring Nori Aoki, Shin-Soo Choo, 182 year old Ichiro and a pitching staff of Iwakuma, Kuroda, Ryu, Chen, and Uehara as my closer. A previous rendition finished above .500 with Dice K, Chien Ming Wang, Hisinori Takahashi and a bullpen of Uehara, Hong-Chih Kuo and Takashi Saito.
