Until the team gets serious about fielding a pitching staff with legitimate major leaguers what's the point? Berrios, Maeda, Duffey, Rogers, and Alcala are the only guys on this pitching staff that should be given a chance next year.

It really doesn't matter if Rocco is the manager or not. I strongly dislike him but I wonder how much of the dumb stuff he does is at Falvine's directive. Gone are the day's of the manager putting his mark on a team. We now take our marching orders from formulas.

Here are the reasons why I am apathetic about MLB, Three true outcome baseball... boring! Move the fences back in all the stadiums where the fences have previously been moved in. Blow up Yankee Stadium. The last thing I want to watch is another Aaron Judge pop up home run to right field. Rule changes- I refuse to watch an extra innings because of the random runner on second rule, I hate 7 inning double headers, if any of these idiotic minor league rules make it up to MLB it will be even worse. Expanded playoffs? Yuck. I haven't watched a non-Twins playin or wild card game in at least five years. Roster management- There are just way too many players that play for each team each season. Just 20 years ago a typical team would go through 32-35 or so. Now, teams cycle through 50 guys a season, of which half have no business being on a major league roster. I know I will never see or hear of most of these guys ever again so what's the point of caring about them? And I certainly do not want to see 15 man pitching staffs. My own increasing age- I used to love baseball because I loved watching guys do what I wanted to do when I was their age. Well, the only way I'll do what any of these guys are doing right now is if I somehow get younger. I used to get MLB Extra Innings every year and spend at least part of each night watching some random game. Now, I would rather watch about anything else other than MLB. During Covid, when MLBN and FSN would air classic games I watched every one I could. Even if it was some random game from 1993 between the Padres and Giants. "Oh, Andy Benes! I like him better than anyone in this entire league right now!" To be fair, I also used to love the NBA and NFL but haven't watched either in about ten years and NCAA basketball is also unwatchable at this point as well.

Negro Leagues Museum is great. It's in the same building as the Jazz museum maybe 10 minutes from the ballpark. World War I Museum is also great. If you like drinking beer Boulevard Brewing is KC's answer to Surly (or vice versa). There's a bunch of interesting breweries in the Crossroads district just west of Arthur Bryants. BBQ- Joe's KC BBQ, Arthur Bryants, Gates, Jack Stack. and Q39 are the big names.

Exactly. Whether we have Donaldson or we don't we're not going to be able to upgrade the pitching staff significantly to make a difference so we may as well keep the better player. I don't want to trade Donaldson so we can play whoever the Saints third baseman is but still have enough money to sign a half dozen more Happs or Shoemakers.

What difference does it make how much financial flexibility we have? You aren't going to win anything with this pitching staff or even marginal upgrades on the pitching staff. And why would Berrios or Buxton resign with a rebuilding team?

I would also point out that his pitching moves seem predetermined for who pitches what innings regardless of what is actually happening on the field. Why are Dobnak and Waddell pitching in one run games, which are soon no longer one run games? The starters pitch the same amount whether they're throwing a no hitter or struggling through the fourth inning. This is a very flawed team that could easily lose 90 games this season because they have at least three major holes in their lineup, a very suspect bullpen, and 2.5 reliable starting pitchers.

I would rather they go back to 25. It was a perfect number but unfortunately MLB forgot how to properly manage pitching staffs so even a roster of 30 isn't enough.

It would not surprise me to see San Diego trade Tatis within a couple years like most other "small market" teams do soon after signing a star player, whether it be Arenado, Stanton, or Knoblauch.

Why are they changing something they lied about for three years and assured us wasn't different? Also 7 inning DH and magical runners on base in extra innings are jokes. Manfred is a disaster.

Broxton will be a good fit if Rocco wants to add some more strikeouts to the lineup.

I wonder what it's like to root for a team that doesn't use money as an excuse. It's a ridiculous amount of money and no way would I condone the Twins offering this but we're playing two different games here.

Not concerned about losing Wade but I am concerned about acquiring Anderson. I'm not going to take any stock into 15 innings of 2020 but he looks like he walks too many and gives up two many home runs. They traded for him to pitch him and a 1.53 career WHIP does not excite me.

Fun fact: I went to a Braves-Yankees game in New Yankee Stadium in 2012 or 13 and we were wearing baseball jerseys and hats on the subway when a young guy asked if we were at the game. We said yes and he said he was teammates with Simmons in college and proceeded to flip through this facebook page and show us pictures of them together.
