    If the Twins make a trade for a player there will need to be someone off the 40 man so it would be a favor to the player to include them in a trade. One should remember that most of the minor league players were scouted by other teams They may still have an interest. Any team needs to figure out long before any other team does whether or not there is a major league future or not.

    Flarety will be available as a rental. Detroit will want a better return than St Louis got.. I would imagine that any team looking to trade for him will look to see how well he did in Baltimore. Given that 10 game performance it is risky to give up a top 10 prospect out of your system.

A no trade clause would be a Broras renegotiated contract where he has leverage. A trade f Correa would likely include one of those ranked somewhere prospects for a return of suspects

    Launch angles, exit velocity, and the outcome of the pairing of the two has been around long enough and with enough games to have some validity. I don’t know if speed of the base runner is factored in. The notion of regression for Cleveland is a reasonable one. The question is how much to expect. If their run differential decreases by 10% they are still a top team in the AL. The difference in the standings would be unmanageable if the Twins don’t win the remaining series with Cleveland . One does have to hope that Texas and Houston stay in the races for the wild card as well as the NL central as it appears that Cleveland does have a lot of games with those teams

    What is the goal for the team? A realistic one. Is it to just make the playoffs? If that is the case maybe upgrading the fourth starter is the answer. Win the wild card round? The fourth starter won’t help there so maybe the OP is correct.. Challenge for the division to avoid the wild card round? Maybe a 2 is in over A better chance to actually do something in the playoffs.

    College baseball is limited to 11.7 full scholarships. It is more likely that a player has to pay to play than not. NIL money is not that great in college. LSU was reported to have the best fund at 10 million. I don’t think the money is there for any player to pass up the 7 figure bonus. If the HS player is a fast riser through the minors it is free agency sooner. The sooner you hit free agency the money you will make will pale anything a college has. The Twins have not had a high school prospect rise up fast in recent history, but they can still try that selling point

    Cade Horton is looking like a legitimize pick for his slot. Jackson Harris remains to be seen. Perhaps it is more a case the Cubs were a little smarter this time.

    Not every player makes the majors but the low minors weeds out the chaff pretty quickly. He didn’t make it as a command and control starter but they still just have seen something there. His FB topped out at 92. Assuredly the Twins have upped that, as he still has a job.
