@bunsen82 I agree with your assessments. Emerson will likely be our draft pick. LeBron will be gone by #3 and thats good because it restocks the high A shelf in ‘27. Its hard to imagine how erod, jenkins and gabby fit in the ‘26 mlb OF. It would be exciting tho! the minors are stacked with infielders that need to develop their hit tools in ‘26! Winoker needs to spend time at 1B. Can you imagine a 6’6” athletically gifted 1B that can be in the 30/30 club for a decade. Crazy to think about. If Houston finds the Arraez hit tools. He will be HOF. The ‘27 day one prospect list is going to be loaded for sure!

Didn’t Brent Rooker have a few issues in his swing and development? All the guys that say this guy cant& that guy wont ever are just silly guesses as to how someone’s career might go. Sit back and be patient. All these guys are way to young to count out. They all could be MLB regulars, all stars or AAAA wash outs. Might even get an HOF’r from this group. We don’t know yet.

How the Twins Can Still Save the Carlos Correa Trade
Fatbat replied to Cody Christie's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
They are selling the same smoke and mirrors. Yes, we have young pitching talent but its going to take time to develop mlb set up and closer like jax and duran. I also don’t want another pagan/colume FA signing- 37 replies

How the Twins Can Still Save the Carlos Correa Trade
Fatbat replied to Cody Christie's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
What do you think about the FO cooking up a trade to get a legitimate high end reliever in exchange for a LH OF/DH… we have a few. In a perfect world, we could sign a FA closer but there is no budget for that.- 37 replies

Should Tom Pohlad's Comments Have Derek Falvey On Notice?
Fatbat replied to Cody Pirkl's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
The only way to say the FO has been a success is if the next crop of prospects develop and become MLB stars. The farm is full of talent but how much is actually going to be MLB talent? There is no way we are going to win ball games with 6-7 of the guys currently the 40 man. ownership will continue to be cheap for now so the FO has to lean into playing the kids in MLB. Lots of them. It’s going to be painful but at least it’s not going to be Joey Gallo retread type painful to watch. Playing the next wave of kids and letting them take their lumps and bumps in MLB will definitely be a change thats worth it. -
I’m surprised no one has brought up Cavaco as the biggest draft bust in recent history. Easily top 10 worst draft picks in MLB history.

How the Twins Can Still Save the Carlos Correa Trade
Fatbat replied to Cody Christie's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
I understand your logic but it really boils down to how do they spend the money saved by shipping C4 out. Right now, the money isnt being spent or even planned on spending it. Since the FO/ownership is going to be frugal until the team starts winning, why not implore & TEACH Larnach and or Wallner to play 1B. We have in house guys that have the ability and project as average to above average athletes with defensive capabilities. Just get it done.- 37 replies

Who cares who we pick, start planning the parade!! 🤣 whoever we do pick, he will undoubtedly be in the top 5 prospects in the org so we win no matter what when he gets to the bigs.

@tony&rodney I have no info if they would trade Duran in a package to get a younger OF’r like erod? Also it sounds like Tom Pohlad is only willing to take a big swing at adding talent/salary if the current team is competitive first.

IM a fan of trade bundles, not one for one. Obviously a fan of Pablo, Ryan and Duran so if we had a trade package that sent Pablo or Ryan to Boston and we got Duran and a big RH bat in exchange. I just don’t know who to FO values more other than, Duran was traded away and the other two are still here. straight up, Pablo or Ryan is worth more than Duran imho.

It would be nice to get another young corner infielder like Mayo on the roster. We should aim for more of a trade package tho. We have been light on LHP for years. Former Twins draft pick, Cade Povich has 22 starts in mlb with pedestrian type stats. 5.21 era 1.5 whip but he won’t be 26 until April. we could package Ober, Morris and Julien or something similar for Mayo and Povich. Makes our roster more flexible while upgrading the O’s SP pool.

Its tough when a young man fails for the first time. His response and growth will lead him to true greatness. We should expect a monster season from Royce!

Well we all know the Pohlads are cheap and the 3rd generation of them is spending Carls investment equity like its lottery $$$. Someone attracted bail out investor $$$ so why not expect a full rebuild? They can tank or they can buy immediate mlb talent. You can have both. Lean into betting on the kids in AAA &AA or spend enough $$$ to be competitive right away. Isn’t that why the Angel investors wrote a check (s)?

Twins Should Look to Baltimore for First Base Help
Fatbat replied to Cody Christie's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Coby Mayo would be a very nice piece to trade for. Since the O’s want young pitchers, he might cost us Festa and Raya or some other combo. Analysts might view Mayo as worth more in a trade, the fact is, he has a small sample size of MLB production. There is downside risk to trading for him. The downside probably isnt Jose Miranda size but its still there. Mayo’s ceiling is very high…. Risk vs. reward is real. Since we are trending young, why not swing big on a 24 yo that profiles exactly what we are missing?
