    I think a few teams could offer interesting options. The Cubs could start with Matt Shaw as an option right? The Dodgers certainly have tons of options, including young pitching that's not far off. Even Boston could start with a few of their younger guys who aren't FAR away. Texas could also arguably put a decent proposal together. I guess we'll see.

    Came here to say, a few years back Detroit traded Jack Flaherty for a good prospect return AND still made the playoffs. I'm not saying this to say the Twins will make the playoffs. But if they do get a strong return for Ryan, that's not necessarily a bad thing. With how their starting rotation is shaping up, they can trade someone now who can bring a strong return and still be ok. That's especially true if he won't be extended here. Plus, is anyone else certain that he can ever have a full and healthy season? I suppose that's the same for every pitcher ever. Let's just say they get a good pitching prospect who is either at AA/AAA or already had a cup of coffee, along with a really good hitting prospect. Something stronger than what Duran brought back. Why would that be a bad thing when A) We don't know if there is a 2027 season and B) he probably won't be extended anyway. I'm good with it, is basically what I'm saying.

    Count me in the camp of who is very excited to see Matt Barr pitching again. And thank you for the report. Great as always!

    I get the feeling they are figuring out if Lee can be a starter somewhere, or a utility guy everywhere. I'm not at all certain he is a true long term starter at any infield position, but he has improved since last year so that's good. The trade deadline will be interesting. If they do get a shot at a really good 3B or SS or 2B to add to the team, they might take it.

    I like Flora, but if Cam Flukey is truly healthy I like him more. Still lots of time for the draft board to play out. But yeah, I'm all in for Lackey or Emerson or Cholowsky at 3 as of right now.

    Well at least the Twins will be eligible for the 2027 mlb draft lottery, even though the season will probably be delayed or cancelled

    Yup, I do! It is pretty great to have morning or day games pretty much only here. Then I have the afternoon or evening to hike or be on the beach. Absolutely no complaints :)

    As someone who has recently moved from Minnesota to New Zealand, right now as I reply it's 8:43pm Friday evening. That means it is 3:43am in Minnesota. Seth, you stayed up LATE! But a fun read as always :)

    I'd truly rather have him on the team more than any of Outman, Wallner or Larnach. Doesn't have to happen today, but he is ready and he will be fun to watch for sure. Great writing as always @Jamie Cameron!

    Sign me up for Lackey or Flora as of today. Both would be awesome additions to our organization.

    They don't have a comp round A pick this year, which would have probably given them the 3rd largest bonus pool. I was expecting more like the 5th largest pool, so 4th is better than expected.

    I wrote him off a while ago, but I'd very much argue that Outman was a winner at camp too. We'll see if the production translates to the regular season. Another loser could be the roster spot that is being held up by Larnach. Wagaman or another right handed hitter would be so much better for this roster currently, let alone getting into Roden or other prospects at AAA.

    Keaschall leading off with Buxton at 2 would start games off really strong. After that, I guess we'll see, If Lewis comes around (that feels like a big IF) and Wallner can get back to his 2024 levels, then adding Bell and Jeffers in there somewhere at least makes a credible top 5 or 6 or so.

    Exactly, That's why I figured Chafin was going to make it with Funderburk having options. But I guess we'll see what happens. I still expect a Larnach trade and a reliever addition, but more is needed

    Yes, but the bullpen will probably have at least one change by the 3rd series of the year anyway

    Not at all surprised on Urshela, but I'm pretty surprised on Chafin.

    A couple of changes today. Hendriks released as he wasn't set to make the team, and Zebby optioned to AAA. Rotation is set with Ryan (starting opening day) with Taj, Abel, SWR and Ober. Hopefully Ober can get back to what he was in 2024.

    Ober scares me the most right now, but Matthews will get his shot at some point. Hopefully the stuff picks up in due time

    I’m nowhere near AS concerned about Joe, but I get what you are saying.

    I still think it's assuming an awful lot that Ober will be fully stretched out and ready to start by opening day. I am going into this expecting both Abel and Matthews to be on the roster because of that. I guess we'll see. If I HAD to choose one as of today it'd be Abel. But I bet both start plenty of games this year.

    2nd’d on this. Ryan (barring health) will be fine. Ober has to show he is back to form before I feel confident on him at all

    I mean, I think they could (or maybe should) trade Wallner and Larnach before opening day, and I’m still not ready to say that Gonzalez is ready even if that were to happen.
