  1. I like to share an observation. On 3-31-25, CWS was smoking the Twins 9-0, Baldelli admitted defeat & raised the white flag. He took out Buxton & Correa & put in the scrubs, the scrubs held their own & Twins lost 9-0. Keirsey played in that game, next day, he pinch ran, stole a base & scored, Twins won their 1st game. On 4-9, Keirsey started his 1st game, Twins won. 6 days later, he replaced injured Wallner & went 1 for 3, the Twins won against NYM, next day he started against NYM, Twins won. Finally getting some regular ABs, he's got a 2-game hitting streak. I'm not saying Keirsey is the Twins '25 magic sausage, I don't believe in luck. I don't believe in pagan baseball gods either, but I believe Keirsey is blessed. Just him being in the lineup means that the normally dead lineup comes alive. If the Twins keep giving Keirsey regular ABs, he'll not only bless the Twins with his presence but also his production. My suggestion to the Twins is to change from looking for ways to keep Keirsey from playing to start looking for ways to keep him in the lineup. I'm sending a message to all of Twinsdom- Twins, fans & Keirsey, that DaShawn Keirsey Jr. is blessed.
  2. "The collaboration between the front office and the manager and his staff is so seamless that they'll have a hard time pointing fingers at one another." Great job, Sherry. Yeah, it's frustrating not knowing who to blame. But because it's so seamless, they're all to blame, starting from the top. What do they call keep doing the same thing & expecting a different result? Firing Baldelli won't change anything. Tingler will step in & be worse & later hire another Baldelli. If you want change you need to do it at the top.
  3. There are more than casual fans who have stopped going to the games
  4. By June, Lewis, Miranda & Martin should be back.
  5. I hope that Keaschal can come up & push Julien & or France off 2B & 1B to the DH spot. Hope is Falvey's primary drive in his transactions. IMO, it'd have benefited Keaschal & Twins more if they had kept Keaschal at AAA longer to ensure his recovery process & have him build up more confidence in AAA; To have him blow the doors off AAA before coming up, His #s are fine but not that impressive. IMO. it's more now, flaming the spark among the fans to get them to the park, to see a fan favorite, Keaschal. Why waste another roster spot on Bride, if Keaschal is their hope?
  6. IMO, like last year, Jeffers is a little slow getting going & now is due to start to hit like he's capable of. But even in equal tandem, getting later in the season, he'll start to wane.
  7. Who did we trade for him? MIA was going to DFA him, Do we need another INFer reject, especially from MIA? A pitcher maybe but not an INFer.
  8. Great pitching except the Jax hiccup, Sands won a well-deserved elusive extra-inning win. Although his production didn't show it, IMO, Wallner's hustle has sparked a winning streak & a series win over the rising NYM. Twins have come alive with hustle.
  9. When I'm comparing player A to player B, I won't deny it, I'm comparing. But in this case, again, I'll repeat I'm not comparing Keirsey's potential to what Trout has done or using him as a comp. I'm just pointing out that if Trout had a terrible 1st regular 50 ABs, how can we judge Keirsey's 1st sporadic 23 ABs. Why can't you understand I'm only using Trout as an example? You can't predict late bloomers, you just look at their character & something just clicks,
  10. My only point is if super star Trout had a terrible 1st regular 50 ABs, how can we judge Keirsey's sporadic 23 ABs? The manager & coaches could lose their jobs because of their failure to capitalize on what fell into their laps & advance even further into the postseason. I think Falvey had the greatest blame in not seeing our real needs & make the necessary trades in '24, plus many other things. '25 is just the continuation of that mess. IMO the way they handled Miranda, Kirloff, Keirsey, Margot & others contributed to that mess (but I respect your opinion). But IMO nobody is going anywhere unless the reins are taken away from Falvey. Then they are gone.
  11. To repeat, I'm not comparing Keirsey's potential to Trout's. The point I'm making is you can't judge Keirsey's beginning & his sporadic ABs because a super star like Trout, (The info I found, that you omitted, showed that he was unimpressive in his 1st regular 123 ABs. You said that he had a monster performance in the middle of that. If that is the case, then that further proves my point, because that means Trout really stunk in his 1st regular 50 ABs.) who in his 1st regular 50 ABs stunk. Again, which proves you can't judge Keirsey until he gets quite a few regular ABs under his belt. Which makes it very tough with very few opportunities given & a small window. Again I'm not comparing Keirsey's potential to Trout's. I only stated that many impactful MLBer are late bloomers which is a fact. That's what I see in Keirsey I'll pass on that. But I'll ask you a rhetorical question. To what level of baseball have you played? Independent? College? If you played higher ball, I'd think you'd understand the challenges & underlying conditions that go into being a ballplayer.
  12. IMO, we agree more than we disagree here. Twins hand-picked Cave because they liked his bat & they wanted to showcase him. IMO, he was a good cOFer, but he wasn't a true CFer (& that was what we needed most). IMO, Wade was a better CFer than Cave, though he wasn't a very good CFer either. Twins have very few bunters,& I'm a big supporter of bunting. Keirsey has been a slugger, IMO he hasn't shown any indication he is one or has much training to be so. IMO everyone should be able to execute a bunt (I wrote a blog about that)
  13. Again, I'm not remotely comparing Keirsey to Trout. But we can safely say that Cave was a much worse fielder than Keirsey, yet Cave was given every opportunity to look bad in CF.
  14. Fitsgerald is probally their short term choice. I see on BAL website that they claimed Blewett. Didn't know he was DFAed.
  15. We hold Mike Trout to a very high standard & rightly so. I'm not remotely claiming that Keirsey will be the next Trout. I'm saying that if it took super star Trout over regular 175 ABs to show promise, how can we expect a nobody Keirsey with only 23 irregular ABs to do anything? We need to give him some patience & a fair chance. & please take what I say in context & not get so bent out of shape.
  17. Yes, he needs to execute but the fault isn't on him it's on management for only playing him sparingly the last 2 years. Only 23 ABs spread out in those 2 yrs,! This year he hasn't even MiLB experience to draw from. A bench pinch-hitter is a very demanding role because a hitter who is used sparingly is called to come in & execute. Only a very seasoned veteran can do that & even most of them can't. You can't expect a newly exposed MiLBer to execute in those adverse conditions. It took over 175 regular ABs for Mike Trout to break out. How can we expect Keirsey to accomplish anything with only 23 very irregular ABs? I just hope that Keirsey can show Baldelli enough to reconsider his bias in this small window of regular ABs. I know it's a lot to ask but for the good of the team I pray that it happens.
  18. Twins have been geared not to hustle, not to take or steal an extra base, the result is no fire. It took Wallner hustling down 1B to get the fire going. It's not good enough to encourage Correa, France & Vazquez to steal a base, we can't expect 1 year of conditioning for that to prevent injuries that can pop up. We need to get players into the game who have been hustling for years. Lewis is out, then who do we have? IMO, it's much more important to have a traditional leadoff hitter. A player who has a high OBP, who can take and steal an extra base, and shake up pitchers to make a mistake for the hitters behind them to take advantage of. This is what produces rallies, this is what produces fire, this is the player we need more often in the lineup. Let me ask: "Who is more valuable, a hitter who hits a double or a player who walks, who steals 2B then 3B and scores on a shallow FO? The latter sparked a rally, the former did not. The latter is a much better fielder than the former. Yet the 1st hitter has a much higher OPS than the latter & is held in much more esteem because social media has endocrinated us that the higher the OPS & WAR, the better the player is. I beg that's not necessarily true.
  19. It sounded great this spring training when they announced that they were practicing situational hitting. I'm all in favor of that, cutting down on SOs & such. But now I'm wondering how they were taught, because they should be having better contact not worse. IMO, they shouldn't have made it mandatory for everyone just players like Julien. Because it seems to me that it could have screwed up many hitters swings.
  20. Ever since Julien was declared the Twins' 2Bman in '24, the Twins have floundered there & the whole team has floundered as a whole. After the Twins broke the '25 camp & Baldelli announced Julien & Gasper on the roster with France as the primary 1Bman in a very fragile INF, I predicted that the Twins would rival CWS for the cellar. One member kinda agreed with me but said "Rival CWS? Twins can't be that bad!" But here we are where CWS have been ahead of us. There's a big gap between MN/ CWS & the rest of AL Central with CWS & us tied. Our right side INF is horrible plus the way that Falvey/ Baldelli has handled this team has sapped the fire & chemistry from this team. Correa, normally very vocal, is quiet. The whole team isn't performing close to their potential. Why? I don't expect them to change, I don't expect them to fire Falvey, I don't expect Falvey to fire Baldelli. If they did, Tingler is worse & he'd hire another Baldelli because Falvey's mind is stuck in same direction.
  21. Indeed a tale of 2 INFers. One, Julien, who can stink both defensively & offensively & make bonehead plays, but that's OK because management has your back, just relax & try to get back some of your mojo. Other Miranda, 1B should have had been his the last 2 years but management said nope, we want anybody but you. We don't care if you got hurt while playing a position you had no right playing you still had to rake! You made a bonehead play so your out, it doesn't matter that you got a PH hit prior to your demotion. Julien can't play 2B. Our greatest liability is our right side of the INF. To greatly resolve this problem, Julien. Gasper & France needs to be remove from their steady position. The time I have seen Miranda at 1B he seemed passeable. If he had plenty of reps at 1B, he'd be a healthy hitter & good 1Bman. A beloved, heart & soul of the team (Polanco) was sacrificed to make room for incompetent Julien. An expensive outsider was obtained to boot Miranda off 1B, again this year a hack at 1B was obtain to keep Miranda off 1B. Twins do everything in their powers to instill confidence in Julien & to humiliate Miranda. Julien should have been sent down to AAA to learn 1B (because he's terrible at it) until he profiles into a 1Bman. Miranda should have given the 1B job to learn on the MLB level. I don't have anything against France, I hope he continue his hitting as a DH & 1B only in an emergency. If both players were handled the same, the outcome would be adverse & Twins would be in a lot better situation.
  22. Just a note. I was very impressed with FA RH Allan Cerda (CFer) during ST. I thought he had an outside chance of making the team. Because of our depth at CF, Cerda was rewarded by being demoted to AA. That had to really hurt & affect him. IMO, Cerda is a keeper.
