  1. Here's what I saw in the 8th inning. Arraez ole'd another ball at 3rd that was very playable. Kyle Garlick looked like a slow pitch softball right fielder on Devers 312 foot pop fly. Should have been out of the inning.
  2. Well..it was fun having Nelly Cruz for these past few seasons. I will be cheering him on in the post season.
  3. Yes! I too think he is should be a part of good future Twins teams. He was snubbed of an all-star selection in '19 and I think his hamstring is continuing to bother him. Yes, would love to see him hit the other way & lefties better. I'm more concerned with Larnach's swing though. It doesn't seem quick enough especially with 2 strikes.
  4. No no no!! Not Kepler! He's just having an off year (to the guy wondering "what happened"). I would be sad if he's dealt
  5. No, Morneau Donaldson called time because Arraez had his back turned to the pitcher. NOT because he "didn't have a big enough lead"
  6. Agree. AND he creeps me out a little with his Gene Simmons impression to the dugout camera. He also leaned forward (inexplicably) on a cross up earlier in the season letting the ball hit the umpire. I wouldn't trust him.
  7. I love Buxton but unless he changes the way he plays he will continue to get injured. And even then he gets hurt too easily. He can do great things, but his body isn't made for this in MY OPINION. Poor guy is just very very prone to injuries
  8. What do you do with a Ferrari that you can never drive due to mechanical problems? You sell it and cut your losses. It's time to say goodbye
  9. I sure hope not..hitters who are "true hitters" & give a good at bat every appearance are few & far between on this squad imo. I love watch young Luis play baseball.
  10. Love this kid. Classy too, I love what he said about the organization and fan base. He obviously also knows he's going to have to grind through the minors. I'm excited about him & look forward to following him.
  11. Exactly. Old Jim isn't afraid to criticize unlike the other analysts on BSN North
  12. Zero offense...reoccurring theme of the 2021 Minnesota Twins
  13. 2019...it was a magical year (regular season). 8 with 20 and 5 with 30. Both are MLB records. It was awesome...
  14. Happy for Shoemaker tonight, without his stellar 2 innings, Twins don't win. Absolutely sick to my stomach for Byron Buxton. I mean, the guys mental health has got to be a huge concern after everything he has been through. I was really looking forward to finally being able to see him play when I go to the White Sox series in a couple weeks ☹
  15. Not just referring to Celestino..Buxton catches (robs) that HR that Gordon mis-timed all day every day & twice on Sunday.
  16. 3 runs isn't a great offensive display, but if Byron Buxton is in Center Field we win that game 3-2
  17. I hope for the best with the team, players, & front office. No idea what the correct answer is, although I hope it does not require a total rebuild. I will continue watching/following/cheering/Hoping
  18. It is concerning that Baldelli refuses to acknowledge a questionable decision WITH the benefit of hindsight. The other side however is that asking Shoemaker to hold the lead & throw 2 innings isn't that unreasonable in my opinion. The guy didn't execute in the 9th, hung a couple of splitters & they did not miss them.
  19. He won't get DFA'd. He had a good 8th, but then a couple of poorly located hanging splitters along with a passed ball/cross-up spoiled his outing. I think Rocco stands firmly behind his decision to throw him there. I didn't agree with it.
  20. I have to agree about Donaldson. I wanted the Donaldson signing but I feel underwhelmed so far. He'll give you a good ab each pa & seems to square the ball up but the results just aren't there.
