    I hope for the best with the team, players, & front office. No idea what the correct answer is, although I hope it does not require a total rebuild. I will continue watching/following/cheering/Hoping

    It is concerning that Baldelli refuses to acknowledge a questionable decision WITH the benefit of hindsight. The other side however is that asking Shoemaker to hold the lead & throw 2 innings isn't that unreasonable in my opinion. The guy didn't execute in the 9th, hung a couple of splitters & they did not miss them.

    He won't get DFA'd. He had a good 8th, but then a couple of poorly located hanging splitters along with a passed ball/cross-up spoiled his outing. I think Rocco stands firmly behind his decision to throw him there. I didn't agree with it.

    I have to agree about Donaldson. I wanted the Donaldson signing but I feel underwhelmed so far. He'll give you a good ab each pa & seems to square the ball up but the results just aren't there.

    Yeah, it's tough to continue backing this particular squad. Couple of observations Willians Astudillo is really good at hitting ground balls Andrelton Simmons' at bats are laughable Baldelli is a poor in game manager. The guy swinging the hottest bat goes down yet again with an injury. It just isn't meant to be this year.. Why does Baldelli refuse to let his relievers pitch more than 1 inning? Particularly when they are throwing well (Farrell comes to mind, Alcala)

    In June of 2019 we were riding high with a 10 game lead on the Indians, and the division ended up coming down to the last couple of weeks of the season. So many folks here willing to give up all hope on this season. I don't agree.

    Agreed. This is just DeRosa cheerleading for the Brewers here, nothing more. He loves to listen to himself say things like "mash", and "loose".. BTW, "loose"? Lol

    Exactly. I don't like Rocco's decision to pull Shoemaker there. He was inducing soft contact leading up to that, was pulled, then Thielbar comes in and throws right to their barrels with the bases juiced. That was the game right there.

    They just are not a very good team. Offense is non existent. Hitters chasing bad pitches no matter what the count is and swinging and missing or fouling off pitches that should be hit. Runs only coming as a result of walks, errors & the occasional solo home run it seems.

    Actually Roger's got squeezed on the 1-1 pitch the umpire missed it and instead of 1-2 it was 2-1. Completely changed what Roger's could do. Huge difference. Roger's is throwing well. Side note: Nelson Cruz is Completely Lost at the plate not seeing the ball well at all. Getting almost zero production from you DH and Multi Million dollar 3rd baseman isn't helping.

    I just saw a headline that read: "Are Kirilloff and Larnach making Kepler expendable?" I think Refsnyder can get an honorable mention. BUT in my opinion, Kepler isn't the "expendable" one. It's Buxton. Simply because HE CAN NOT STAY ON THE FIELD. I love Byron, love watching him play, but at what point do we call him Byron 'Bust'on?

    I look at it as if it was a great way to cap off a tough road trip that included victories over 2 good teams going into an off day.

    Larnach reminds me just a bit of Wally Joyner, great fluid swing. Still needs to not try and pull outside pitches and go the other way. I was mostly impressed with Garver's AB. pitch was a few inches off and he stayed down and through with a perfect swing. Thanks Mitch.

    Yep, their approach seemed half hearted and no one even tried sitting change up. I think they were dreading getting on a plane to play a double header in CA & no off day in a while.

    No, he tried to hit him into his meaty thighs & glute (largest muscle in the human body) which, to your point, is the "sportsmanship" place to hit someone.

    That's funny..In 2019 I recall a game where Rocco stormed out of the dugout, the camera was right on him, and I swear he lead with: "you're going to throw me out of this game"

    Yeah there are a few kinks with the new format. For example; when I initially opened this page/article, there were 2 quoted posts pre-loaded before I even touched anything.

    Mitch Garver's game needs an overhaul. His coming out party in 2019 was a one-time courtesy. SITUATIONAL HITTING...He needs to check his ego and hit for contact, hit the the ball the other way, and "grind out" an at-bat for crying out loud. And...he's a liability behind the plate in my opinion.

    I don't particularly love the body language I've seen from him this year. Defeated, and it almost looks as if he's on the verge of walking off of the field.
