  1. I expect the Twins to do more trading then signing this offseason. Though I can see some dumpster diving for relievers, a run at Escobar, after that it depends on what the Twins aquire with their stable of prospect they now have.
  2. Seth, This is probably one of your best articles I've read yet. and I've been reading your work for over 10 years now... You did a great job of story telling here. I really wanted to see what happened next throughout the article. It felt like watching a short story on TV...
  3. I think a drum would have to be in the of bleachers. Also he could make his walk up song one that promotes yelling too.
  4. If Grossman can keep a .360 obp, I hope he is back next season. We are short in the obp area on offense and if Mauer retires then we are shorter still. A bench with Astudillo, Cave, Grossman, Garver, and Adrianza is possible I guess. Especially if Astudillo plays a passable 3B.
  5. I would like for us to sign Bartolo Colon to pitch to Astudillo next year. That would be fun to watch for sure. (note: the video above called Astudillo little sexy).
  6. Maybe the Twins want their players to see the buried Cadillacs out there in Amarillo.
  7. Poppin is quitely climbing the minor league ladder quickly. He started lsst year in Cedar Rapids and is now in AA. What does his scouting report say?
  8. So does he plan on becomming a Twins coach when his playing days are over?
  9. For some reason I like the idea of rooting for Gimenez more than Wilson. Still this deal is rated as... huh? I agree with luckylager above that Gimenez has a future as a minor league manager here. Maybe Molitors eventual replacement.
  10. I am happy with both of their drafts = A. I am happy with their trades for the prospects after missing on Ohteni= A. I was happy with both offseasons = A-. I was highly disappointed the team didnt do anything to plug a few holes early in the season when the shiznitt hit the fan but before we fell too far back. We had Lynn, Escobar, and Ehire. We needed a 1B/DH, and a C, and maybe an OF. We could have aquired a few of these pieces at a low to medium cost = F COWARDS... you should get a refund on your season tickets last May when this happened as it was obvious then that the front office gave up on the season before the quarter point. Mid season trades for prospects = C- no teams top 10 prospects and appeared to start quitting on 2019 too with Pressley trade. Nice pick up of Cave in spring training... overall they overall they get a C ....quitting on a season before the quarter point is a fireable offense and should never happen again. Honestly if i spent 130 million off your recommendations, i would prefer to throw a few million more in season to get a return on my investment. It would have helped fan interest.... On the future/ prospect side they get an A.
  11. Im curious as to what would make Magill better? His control has improved and his fastball speed is legit. Is it too straight? Does he have a viable 2nd pitch? Would love to see a scouting report on him.
  12. Also neil walker, and kinsler will be fa too. Not sure about kipnis. But i know there will be lots of options available to play 2b.
  13. If he can hit around a .750-780 OPS, with solid defense, as long as the concussions arent a problem he should suit up at least another year or two. Outside of moving Sano to first we wont have a great candidate till Rooker is deemed ready mid next season. I would like to see Joe add to his career totals.
  14. I agree with this artcle. Lets do it. Have a piggy back ride...rotation...
  15. Looks like the entire pen could use a breather. They should make a move or two to protect the arms in the pen.
  16. The bullpen looks fine going into next year. We may need to sign a decent arm and maybe a minor league contract for added competition. But I feel good about our rotation and pen moving forward.
  17. Buxton needs reps after a lost season of injuries. Can we send him to the instructional league? Or winter leagues
  18. Judging by his name Kai-Wei must be a change up specialist. Kai-Wei Teng.... waiting.....terrible i know..
  19. I like this return better than Watson and 500k international cap space for our closer last year.
  20. The first choice to bring up is clearly Romero. If we are counting on him in the rotation next year, he needs to be here. Gonsalves and Littel or Slegers. Rooker is a player we want up, but it makes too much sense to wait. Would like to see some bullpen pitchers up. Not too picky but two or three deserving pitchers. We will bring back Mauer and Rodney the other three are gone (Forsythe, Belisle, and Santanta) i can see us signing Forsythe to a minor league contract with spring invite. Our rotation for next season is shaping up to be: Berrios, Gibson, Pineda, Odorizzi, Mejia with Gonsalves, Slegers, Littel, Thorpe, and Stewart so dont be surprised if a deal is made between the end of this season and the end of spring training for Odorizzi. We may not have the best rotation but we sure lead the league in depth starters available. I can also see us keeping Grossman as he does have a league average bat and high OBP. Or high enough for a bench bat.
  21. It would have been funny to see Garver in thepitch count section.
  22. Ok cool. Just askin. I hope that didnt come accross as being grumpy as i have been and am grumpy lately with the trades lately.
  23. I was wondering if the best prospect from LA cracks our top 30?
  24. Loosing Dozier was a loss for Twins fans. In 2 more seasons he would likely be a top 5 in franchise history in HRs. And he finishes his career 2 SB shy of 100 so the Twins miss out again on someone not quite getting 100 SB. There are quite a few players who come up just short in this department.
