    I did yard work today instead of following the game. Unfortunately that was a better way to spend my time. It is getting depressing following the games - hopefully we will turn it around soon.

    Good topic - the Twins are #1 but my next favorite team would be Washington. Maybe Seattle as well.

    Another great start of the season like last year. Hopefully the embarrassment of getting swept by the team picked to finish last in the east will spur the team on to the World Series! Remember 1991!

    I had them at 78-84 for this year so I will go with under by a hair. Always hopeful that this is wrong and they will be World Series winners!

    Now that we have signed Mr. B. Park - what are some suggestions for his new nickname with the Twins? I'll throw out the first pitch..... "Hit it out of the Ball" Park - shortened to just "Ball" Park Happy to have him onboard at a reasonable price!

    Can we have Aaron Slegers work with Alex Meyer on how a 6' 10" can pitch with control? lol! Maybe we can somehow combine them into one outstanding pitcher that throws 100 with control.

    I don't see an issue with having Mauer DH more and giving Sano time at 1B. First, Mauer is not that great defensively and 2nd I don't know how much that lessens the concussion risk (has a 1B ever received a concussion playing the field?) but DH should be safer in that regard than playing 1B. In my view I would prefer Plouffe play the majority of time at 3B, Sano at 1B and Mauer DH.

    Mauer power - he hits double digits in homers for the year!

    Relief pitching changes - the number and length of them. I mean what a production - manager comes out to the mound - holds up an arm left or right - the bullpen door opens - who is coming out the door? followed by a slow jog or walk to the mound. Then all the warm-up tosses. Here is an idea that I am only half-joking about - let's pattern pitching changes after soccer substitutions. Once the decision is made to change pitchers - the relief pitcher coming in has to be positioned right at the foul line between home and 1B. The pitcher coming out runs off tagging the pitcher coming in and the game resumes as soon as the relief pitcher gets to the mound - no warm-up pitches. Does a pinch-hitter get a few warm-up pitches tossed to him to hit?

    I had the Twins winning 76 games this year - hopefully today is the day they hit that mark. Been waiting a few games for them to hit it. Win the rest!
