  1. This was probably mentioned before - maybe even by me but For a team that bunts so much we are sure not good at it.
  2. Yes, this does not look good - possible serious injury. That being said - that ball could have been caught without him jumping. Easy for me to say from my couch.
  3. Picked a great game to go see - a big Twins win! That was a long game though. Hey, we have a winning record against Texas and Cleveland - we would be dangerous in the playoffs-lol!
  4. At the game tonight - rooting on the Twins. Sitting in the shade, nice breeze not too bad. Let's go for 3 in a row!
  5. Yes, everyone on the team contributed something positive today.
  6. Twins win and win the series!
  7. Nice to see some big hits by Dozier and Grossman off of Hamels!
  8. I can't prove this but I would wager that if the Twins had signed Desmond he would not be doing as well for us. One issue could be the home ballpark - but a larger one is that the Texas manager Bannister had watched him play from his time in the National League and liked his attitude and wanted him on the team. Bannister is instilling confidence in him plus the Rangers are a good team group of ball players meaning the clubhouse is good and they accepted him right away as he fit in. I live in Arlington so I have seen this commented on by the local media. How much difference can that make I am not sure and maybe Desmond will come back to his norms in the 2nd half. I don't have a comment on the Twins manager or clubhouse but we are doing much less with the talent we have.
  9. Suzuki had 2 of the worst bunt attempts I have seen. That goes along with his pop-up bunt suicide squeeze. Either teach him to bunt correctly or don't ask him to bunt.
  10. I will keep watching soccer if that's what it takes to get us some runs!
  11. I switched to watch a recording of the Belgium-Wales game. More scoring than the Twins can produce.
  12. What kind of 0-2 pitch is that. We just don't play smart. We deserve the worst record.
  13. No Jepsen? Are we trying to win?
  14. What a play by Sano! Got him at the right position.
  15. Really a bunt with your hottest hitter up? Someone needs some managing lessons.
  16. I am not going to pretend I understand the calculation fully but this series, Rangers vs Twins, pits the most clutch hitting team since at least 1974 versus one of the worst clutch hitting teams this year. Not hard to identify which team is which. Maybe our clutchiness will even out this weekend, although later it is identified that teams that have a higher clutch statistic strikeout and walk less than average - so in that case we are in trouble with the number of strikeouts we have. The article on the Rangers is below http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/rangers-hitters-couldnt-be-more-clutch/ And the current ytd rankings are here: http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=bat&lg=all&qual=0&type=3&season=2016&month=0&season1=2016&ind=0&team=0,ts&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0&sort=11,d
  17. A couple of observations - Love how Eddie could not possibly be any further from the plate and I wonder how they found a bat that small? Did they take the head off of a hammer?
  18. Perhaps worse team ever. Never have more done less. $100m spent for this.
  19. Buxton only K'd once today, progress!! And he got a hit.
  20. How on earth did this team sweep Seattle. Memorial Day Weekend miracle.
  21. Dozier currently might be the worst hitter in the lineup - so I would not bat him third. 7th or 8th sounds about right.
