    I have Twin daughters which everyone thought was cool since I liked the Twins. At the time I was just in shock to hear the news. In any case they were wonderful through the teenage years so I am lucky. They don't like baseball which is fortunate for them - they don't have to suffer watching the Twins.

    First, Best Wishes to Terry! By all reports a solid guy but who had more than enough time on his run as GM. Interesting that he was fired at this time - 3 games after the All-Star break- 2 weeks before the trade deadline and fired rather than a negotiated step-down which I would have expected. Cautiously optimistic this will be good news for the Twins future but we will see what happens next.

    I would have left Centeno in - just because he has come through in some clutch situations.

    Now that looks like a 2016 Twins reliever. I have not seen Ramirez pitch before and I just as soon don't want to see it again. Can't find the strike zone and they are killing him when he does come close.

    My only contention is examining certain plays to the millimeter but ball and strike calls are all over the place. I guess not too dissimilar from football where a catch is dissected but holding calls and pass interference are judgement calls. I interrupt this post for a Home Run - way to go Vargas!

    Yes, Eddie might have a cycle if Vargas wasn't on base ahead of one of his 2 doubles. Eddie has really tagged the ball tonight.

    I guess we have a tough time catching balls at the centerfield wall at this ballpark. Just over Santana's glove but it didn't look like he ran back at full speed.

    Lesson 101 on how to bungle an inning. After a leadoff hit - have your best hitter bunt which he cannot do successfully, then get the runner thrown out on a pitchout because it was that obvious it was coming. Finished off by the ump missing ball 4 and calling it strike 3 instead.
