  1. To me, his stuff always looked hittable, but he has managed to be successful in spite of appearances. Maybe he has to adopt the Joe Ryan mantra of pitching inside when things are not working.
  2. Tom Kelly is rolling over in his grave. No pitching, no defense, and horrible fundamentals!
  3. I think it's fair to say that they lost it ... YUGELY!
  4. Back down to a game over .500. The Twins can be at bad teams, but struggle against "good" teams - a movie we've all seen before. Tough times result in making tough decisions, and Bride is not an MLB player. In addition, I'm not sure that Vazquez's defense out weighs his frequent offensive futility. We're now halfway between Memorial Day and Labor Day, the time where teams show what they are. Yes, the starting rotation is facing some hurdles, but the offense is not carrying their collective weight and with few options available, it looks like an 85 win season. Welcome back to mediocrity.
  5. People on this site have always been bigger Ober fans than I, and I'm not sure why that is the case. He is consistently inconsistent and in today's game, he was brutal.
  6. I was going to write that Wentz is a sloppy LHP, but we now know that. Acala had all the tools, too bad he couldn't put it together.
  7. The one he hit out of Fenway had to have been well over 500 feet, but the scaled it down to less that that.
  8. I once hit one of the roof of a house, across the street, of the Acorn Park Field in Roseville. I was 12 years old and that thing sailed about 325 feet!🤣🤣🤣
  9. I agree 100%! Some of us have worked jobs that move us all over the country, and some all over the planet. As someone who had done that, for a little while, it was tiring, but without the perks of an MLB player. I bet there are many low-level, no future MiLB players that would gladly trade places with him.
  10. Yet, Mickey Gasper?
  11. Joe Pohlad was seen in a hot dog suit atop the dugout shouting, “We’re all looking for the guy who did this.” Tim Robinson is looking for the irony.
  12. Baldelli's seat must be getting warm. Yes, the offense is underperforming, as expected, but the team is sloppy, and appears neither motivated nor prepared. Pulling Ober today was another baffling move in a Baldelli career of baffling moves.
  13. Normally, I don't get too agitated with the team until Memorial Day, but this kind of reminds me of the start to the 2016 season.
  14. I stand by my offer of $200 million, take it or leave it.
  15. TK used to mumble about the need for hitters to accumulate (about) 1500 MLB at bats as young players. After three solid seasons, the players, coaches, and league will have a pretty good idea what a hitter can or cannot do. Sadly, I'm not sure Lewis can reach that in six years. Bummer.
