    No, I hope not. His last Cleveland outing was beyond dreadful and no really good pitcher worth his salt (whatever that means) puts that many pitches over the heart of the plate unless something is wrong with him.

    Keep Jeffers, Larnach, and Ryan, then try to add a RH power bat and maybe another good reliever. This team is not championship material, yet, but who knows?

    If you don't have command of your pitches, you're still not throwing strikes. It seems to me that "control" and "command" can be be interchangeable.

    Of his last five outings, two have been really good, two have been pretty bad, and one was okay. The question might be, does he even want to be here?

    Outman had some potential, it's just no longer there. Detroit has given him more opportunity and the results are (roughly) the same.

    Too bad the organization's MiLB teams seem to lack the teaching and managing to bring solid w-l records to fruition. No doubt, the Twins have some very nice prospects, but from the outside, it doesn't appear that way ... as a collective.

    Before his demotion, Royce appeared to be reaching for outside pitches and, simultaneously, pulling hi body back. Now, while he still reaches for the same pitches, it appears he's staying on the ball and trying to go the other way with it. That's a big change for a guy that loved to be a dead-pull hitter and it will (eventually) force pitchers to come inside more.

    Some guys don't actually begin to use their fastball until they need it and Morris is now using it to set up his other offerings.

    Bat speed does not always directly correlate to HR's.

    That could be an extension of the Twins' entire minor MiLB system. It seems their pool of prospects is better than average, so why aren't their respective team records?

    Speaking of Josue De Paula, how can the Dodgers have so much MiLB talent? Is the Twins scouting department that bad or are they simply not able to develop these young players?

    I would guess he's done for the season.

    I've seen him play live and on TV and he seems to be a good outfielder. He doesn't look as fast as I though he was and his arm is decent, from what I could see. Defensively, he looks better than Jenkins and ERod, but maybe he just doesn't profile well in our deep system of elite OF'ers.

    Gleeman is a good writer, but his baseball acumen leaves much to be desired. In any case, it is nice to see a reporter stand on principal, not on ceremony (Russo, Krawczynski).
