  1. Gleeman is a good writer, but his baseball acumen leaves much to be desired. In any case, it is nice to see a reporter stand on principal, not on ceremony (Russo, Krawczynski).
  2. "The Twins are encouraged by Culpepper’s play at shortstop. He’d easily be the Twins' best defensive infielder right now. I feel relatively confident calling him likely to be an average big-league shortstop (complimentary), if not slightly better. His arm will allow the skill set to work excellently at third base, too (don’t tell Royce, anyone)." Not too shabby, and when Marek Houston is up, the left side of the Twins infield will be rock solid ... finally!
  3. Nah, maybe they just aren't that good. That said, they are RH bats and this team desperately needs to try and develop what they have.
  4. Sheesh! The guy looked brilliant this afternoon! Blowing Witt away with 100 MPH was sweet!
  5. Jenkins' play in CF and E-Rod's in RF left a lot to be desired too. Does the Twins organization have any speed ... other than Buxton?
  6. I'm not sure the Twins MiLB is really that bad and I'm beginning to think Jenkins may not really be that good. I hope I'm right and wrong.
  7. What's the fascination with Ober? He's an okay pitcher. but is pigeon-holed as a #4 starter, at best.
  8. Mayo? Yes, but he's not going anywhere. Mountcastle? Nope.
  9. Varde is more of investment group with the emphasis on investment. I believe their goal will be to make the Twins a more valuable asset.
  10. Gardy had some darn good players under him! His problem was his love for the "BYTO" type of guys that shouldn't be starters. Then again, I guess Mauer, Morneau, Hunter, Cuddyer, Santana, Cuddyer, Liriano, Kubel, Radke, Nathan, Jones, Guzman, Koskie, Mientkiewicz, Thome, etc. were all not that great after all.
  11. Probably the worst of worst available, but I wish him well.
  12. Huh? Dave Roberts may be the most overrated manager of the decade! I would guess almost any other MLB manager would leave their respective job to manage the Dodgers!
  13. He has a lot of experience in what not to do. I think Rowson did a great job of fixing what Brunansky helped to break. Would Morneau be interested in a coaching position?
  14. Servais is the uncle of a friend of mine. Maybe free tickets ... if he's hired!
  15. The Twins, and seemingly the fans, seem to have a sweetheart bond to this guy. Let him go!
