  1. People on this site have always been bigger Ober fans than I, and I'm not sure why that is the case. He is consistently inconsistent and in today's game, he was brutal.
  2. I was going to write that Wentz is a sloppy LHP, but we now know that. Acala had all the tools, too bad he couldn't put it together.
  3. The one he hit out of Fenway had to have been well over 500 feet, but the scaled it down to less that that.
  4. I once hit one of the roof of a house, across the street, of the Acorn Park Field in Roseville. I was 12 years old and that thing sailed about 325 feet!🤣🤣🤣
  5. I agree 100%! Some of us have worked jobs that move us all over the country, and some all over the planet. As someone who had done that, for a little while, it was tiring, but without the perks of an MLB player. I bet there are many low-level, no future MiLB players that would gladly trade places with him.
  6. Yet, Mickey Gasper?
  7. Joe Pohlad was seen in a hot dog suit atop the dugout shouting, “We’re all looking for the guy who did this.” Tim Robinson is looking for the irony.
  8. Baldelli's seat must be getting warm. Yes, the offense is underperforming, as expected, but the team is sloppy, and appears neither motivated nor prepared. Pulling Ober today was another baffling move in a Baldelli career of baffling moves.
  9. Normally, I don't get too agitated with the team until Memorial Day, but this kind of reminds me of the start to the 2016 season.
  10. I stand by my offer of $200 million, take it or leave it.
  11. TK used to mumble about the need for hitters to accumulate (about) 1500 MLB at bats as young players. After three solid seasons, the players, coaches, and league will have a pretty good idea what a hitter can or cannot do. Sadly, I'm not sure Lewis can reach that in six years. Bummer.
  12. Crystal clear video and sound is all I care about. I like the broadcasting crew, but if they had none or less of the pre and post game shows, I would be fine with that too. I'm a simple man, with simple needs.
  13. There is no guarantee that a billionaire owner will spend the money to bring in talent, especially when losing a boatload of money is part of the process. The Dodgers local media money will, pretty much, cover their entire MLB payroll. Add in 81 sellouts, concessions, merchandise, and the national TV contracts, and they still make a large amount of money! If competing means just winning the division, that's a whole other story, and that is something the new owners could do and that is something the Pohlad owenership could have and should have done. It might have netted another $100 million in the sale of the team.
  14. "The player he describes as the minority owner will most likely be Joe Mauer." Joe's a minority?
  15. Well, we know one thing for sure. The White Sox will still be looking up at the Twins.
  16. That being the case, Rocco must be feeling the same as most fans in wondering what the FO is doing to help make his job easier. The Twins seems like a handful of teams that seem to have no interest in winning, nor do they care about their fans. In the words of Joe Mauer, "it's frustrating."
