Just read a tweet from Seth suggesting that Worley should be waived immediately after he comes out of this game, and that he will very likely clear. I agree, and hope he does clear and figures things out. But it's time to send him down.

Fastball percentage about 112%

Suzuki: Veteran game caller

That's not fair, I know. Worley only throws 3 different pitches. A 2 seemer, 4 seemer, and a cutter

Not really a spot for him if he clears, I wonder if a bullpen transition would start. He should be waived though wasting innings up here.

Did I read in another thread that Suzuki led the majors last year in fastball percentage called for? And that his framing wasn't good? At least he got one borderline called third strike for Vanimal, who wouldn't be having a good night with anyone other than Obi-wan Kenobi influencing the umpire.

I hope people don't look back on the Revere trade and think it was so terrible. It may play out that way but, at the time, we got a fair return for him. This is coming from someone who was excited about Revere's future with the Twins.

Was thinking the same thing. It's possible to make a good trade and have it not work out, and so is the reverse.

It goes without saying that it's too early to throw in the towel on May, but it is on Worley too. He had two good years before getting injured and struggling last year, and he's just 26. He's been brutal in spring training and was only ok in AAA last year, but the Twins had better figure out a way to hang on to him.

That's an interesting conclusion

Obi Wan: rest easy son... You've had a busy day... You're fortunate to be all in one place.

Worley: Yeah I got knocked out again.

There was plenty of anti-Worley sentiment going back to when he was stinking it up with the Twins last year, let alone after looking mediocre at AAA and having an abysmal spring. I get it.

But the Twins committed to two guys, Correia and Pelfrey, who will almost certainly never be part of a competitive Twins rotation. And they're apparently still entertaining the notion of using Deduno or Diamond in the 5th spot. Those 4 guys have had 4 good seasons in the past 3 years, combined. Worley has two. And none of their best seasons in that span were as good as his best.

Are you sure? I thought his three pitches were roped single, rocket double, and long HR.

Come on now, he tried. But then the ump called a late strike at 3-1.
