Dur dur, now a run's in. Dur, dur, now a walk. Hey guys! Why aren'tcha laffin? OK, I'll get the last out. Buncha wet blankets."Speaking of Liam, Dick says he's the long man today. Well, "long" meaning "first." Could be a record breaker today

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 21, 2013 Author Posted September 21, 2013 Piece of pie? I didn't think so. That courtesy of chief, and my new 'go to' phrase ... poop on pumpernickel.
Kwak Verified Member Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 "Pitch-to-Contact, we have contact." Just love those prescient comments from DickBert: "Pedro needs to pitch more inside", "Pedro needs to pitch into the 7th inning"; "None of the team took batting practice before the game, the A's are taking it now." Wow.

Yeah, it's rough. I am not a fan of Dickbert, but they definitely have a terrible job right now. We should change our name to the Washington Senators. Not as a homage to the team that was before they came to Minnesota but to the one that plays the Harlem Globetrotters.
GCTF Verified Member Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Liam Hendriks just recorded 3 outs without giving up 6 runs in between.
GCTF Verified Member Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Pedro Hernandez sure seems hittable. He's no Liriano.
GCTF Verified Member Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Where else can you pop out to the 22 yard line?
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 He's no Liriano.Psh, didn't need him
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Liam: "Hey guys, look at me! I'm Pedro! No wait, I'm not! I'm getting major league hitters out (except for the doubles). Jerk."

ashbury Verified Member Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 Washington Generals. Timberwolves. They never played in Washington though, went straight to the Globetrotter circuit.
glunn Community Moderator Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 Whether or not Gardy gets to 1,000, I think that this should be his last season with the Twins. In my opinion, it's time for a new manager, preferably from an organization that does more with less, like the Rays or Oakland.

I mean, from outside the organization, as much as it makes sense to all of us. But, I'm open to being surprised.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 On field note--is it me or are the only two guys putting up consistent big league at-bats Dozier and Pinto?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 22, 2013 Author Posted September 22, 2013 On field note--is it me or are the only two guys putting up consistent big league at-bats Dozier and Pinto? Um, I don't think it's you.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 Doesn't look like Texas is playing along with the "A's clinch tonight" plan.
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 Pedro: "Hey, Liam. It can happen to anyone. Right?"
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 22, 2013 Author Posted September 22, 2013 Doesn't look like Texas is playing along with the "A's clinch tonight" plan. Well, then, if the Rangers win tonight ... then they and we HAVE to win tomorrow, or we are going to be on field watching another team celebrate. Ugh. Hate that.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 22, 2013 Author Posted September 22, 2013 I might have to make some more apple crisp tonight.
