Think about Albers... 3 Starts under his belt... This is all pretty new to him... If it's not new to him... Facing off against the Tigers and Justin Verlander should be. 2. Think about Verlander... He's gotta matchup against Albers... Right now... Albers is blowing Verlander away in the ERA Department. 3. Think about Tuiasosopo... What football Roster did they grab him off of. Names like that are usually playing on the line of scrimmage somewhere. 4. Think about 6 thru 9... The Tigers are not very scary either 6 through 9 in the batting order. 5. Think about Self Help Groups... My Wife suggested I should look into a self help group. I couldn't get past the thought of how I can get "Self" Help in a group. The fact that I couldn't get past that... Probably suggests that I could use some help.
Oldgoat_MN Verified Member Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Morneau is the only batter in our lineup hitting over .250. Hope Mauer & Arcia are back soon. Wait! I lied! Ramirez is hitting .281. Yea!

Isn't this kind of what game threads are?
IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Isn't this kind of what game threads are? I'm sure that most of us here would be happy to sit down with RiverBrian and tell him how he should fix his life.

I wouldn't want that responsibility for anyone. Edit: On further thought ... put it this way, I think he's the least of the 'needs fixing' on here. But I still don't want that responsibility.

And of course, the good thing about doing it in a group is if you screw up somebody's life you can always blame the rest of the group members instead of yourself.
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 4. Think about 6 thru 9... The Tigers are not very scary either 6 through 9 in the batting order. . First off, using the binary correlative, either, to compare four players threw me off completely. Is that your Canadian influence talking? Secondly, although Omar Infante may have a cutesy, baby-sounding last name, he is a scary-good defender at 2B and is having a BABIPistcally frightening year at the plate. Finally, Tuiasosopo is legitimately scary. As all Samoan heritage athletes seem to be, he excelled at football and turned down a full ride to the University of Washington, his Dad is Manu, former scary defensive lineman for the Seahawks.
IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Any questions about Verlander's ability to pitch with a case of the jitters should be answered today. So far I like the answer.

He seems to come from an important family all-around. I found this on Wikipedia: Mariota Tiumalu Tuiasosopo (1905-1957) was the author of Amerika Samoa, the national anthem of American Samoa. Here are the lyrics: American Samoa greatest possession in the world all other possessions are run by little girls.American Samoa number one exporter of potassium!Other possessions have inferior potassium.American Samoa home of the Tuiasosopo swimming pool it's length thirty metre and width six metre.Filtration system a marvel to behold it removes 80 percent of human solid waste. It goes on, but you get the gist.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Oh man ... I missed the top half and a run scored
IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Whew! Anytime we get past Cabrera with no damage I feel the sun shine a little brighter.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 LLove the new avatar but miss the old one. Which old one? I've changed it a few times. The new one is the beach on Sanibel Island at sunset.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Serious thought. Given the Twins lineup, even though Verlander is very quick to the plate, you have to send guys with speed when they reach. The catcher didn't appear to be quick in throwing and didn't seem to have a particularly strong arm.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 Oh man ... I missed the top half and a run scored Top 40% of the top half, even.

ashbury Verified Member Posted August 22, 2013 Posted August 22, 2013 It was over after two hitters! The case seems to have been re-opened by the Wayne County board of inquiry.
