Winston Smith Verified Member Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Gameday shows the replay of the key plays and its free. It was a good catch.
big dog Verified Member Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 The Mets announcers are going nuts about calling that play a hit rather than an error. They are already anticipating a possible no-hitter by Gee and wondering if that could be ruled an error after the fact. Let's hope the Jinx is in order.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 The much-maligned Clete breaks up the no-no. Who will break up the shutout? / edit - huh, didn't realize the backstory to his humble single.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 wow .. leave to take a shower, come back, it's the 4th inning, and gibson is still pitching
Alex Verified Member Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 So I have to listen to Gladden today? @#$% But he's giving fascinating insights on the value of the RBI as within a player's ability, maligning Plouffe's lack of RBIs in Rochester and Mauer's lack this year.
Winston Smith Verified Member Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Gibby is scuffling a little today. Still battling.
Thegrin Verified Member Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 another run. Gibson may not make it through the inning yet. oops... nobody warming up
big dog Verified Member Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Dear Mr. Gardenhire, Please remove Mr. Gibson from the game before someone gets killed by a line drive. Sincerely, The MLB Player's Union
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Someone is warming up now.
snepp Verified Member Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 What, 11 base-runners in 3 innings is cause for concern?
big dog Verified Member Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Yet another out on the basepaths by the Mets.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 And now yet another run ...
big dog Verified Member Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Paging Liam Hendricks...please see Gene Glynn. I hope Gibson has a restful off-season and comes back in good shape. He had nothing today, and not much lately. Time to quit wrecking his confidence.
Winston Smith Verified Member Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 At least at this rate Gibson won't reach his inning limit until the end of the season.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 wow .. leave to take a shower, come back, it's the 4th inning, and gibson is still pitching And now it's Gibby's turn to get cleaned up.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 And now it's Gibby's turn to get cleaned up. I probably enjoyed my shower more than he will enjoy his.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 I gotta admit, I thought he'd be better than this.......I was figuring a 4 to 4.5 ERA this year, but with decent strikeout and groundout rates. It is amazing how wrong I was this year on Gibson and Worley....both of whom I figured for a 3/4 type this year.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 lol ... Mets' announcers just said 'That's the first legitimate hit for the Twins.'

ashbury Verified Member Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 I probably enjoyed my shower more than he will enjoy his. Then He's Doing It Wrong.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 lol ... Mets' announcers just said 'That's the first legitimate hit for the Twins.' I appreciate independent-minded announcers who are willing to call out their own team's defense when the situation requires it.
Thegrin Verified Member Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 We can only hope that Gibson is done for the year.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 http://cdn.memegenerator.net/instances/400x/33920207.jpg Then He's Doing It Wrong. lol ... I didn't mean it 'that' way ... sometimes I need to read my posts more critically. All I meant was that I had a satisfying workout at the gym prior to the game ... an hour with a trainer followed by an hour of Cardio Tennis. It was a good workout. I'm sure Gibson isn't so satisfied with his outing.
Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 You sound like my kind of woman. About 30 years ago, lol.

The first rule of Holes: when you are in one, stop digging. / thanks to Chief and others, I get to constantly remind myself of that
