Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 You sound like my kind of woman. About 30 years ago, lol. heh ... I ain't young. I wish I were that kind of woman 30 years ago, too.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Any guesses which team is more annoyed at having one of their days off taken away from them by the rainout?
Thegrin Verified Member Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 GCL Twins won. 2-1Scoreboard | MiLB.com Scoreboard | The Official Site of Minor League BaseballAlex Meyer and Lewis Thorp threw well
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 I'd say Meyer is a bit better than the competition at that level, that's what you'd hope he would do if healthy on a rehab.....so YAY! Hoping this means he's soon back in AA.
TwinVike61 Provisional Member Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 When did Willingham change his walk-up music to Sweet Home Alabama?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 And on that ... I'm out ... have to get to the emissions testing station before the after-work crowd hits it.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2013 Author Posted August 19, 2013 Hmmm ... what do you consider fat? I might be considered fat next to an anorexic person ... and I'm not singing at all. Typical Girl reaction to that word. Guy: Wow... You look Great in that DressGirl: What do you mean I'm fat
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2013 Author Posted August 19, 2013 At the risk of getting serious, I was more or less thinking along these lines yesterday, as we went 2 for 3,000 with runners in scoring position. Couldn't we try to steal a base? Hit and run a little bit? Move an opposing batter off the plate? It just seems like complete station-to-station statue play, waiting for Plouffe to pop up with runners on (yes, I'm sour on Trevor after supporting him a long time). Dead Men Walking. I know most of these guys can't hit, but can't they do something? I exempt Dozier from this rant. Great catch against Willingham there. Yeah... What you Said... Yeah... It's been my rant for awhile. I'll leave the payroll arguments to others. I want to see this team move around and play baseball as God Intended it to be played. The Clubhouse manager is saving Pohlad money on Tide. There is nothing to wash after the games.
glunn Community Moderator Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 I am just checking in and am glad that I am not watching this mess. Since when did the Mets become such a powerhouse that the Twins seem to have zero chance to beat them?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2013 Author Posted August 19, 2013 Glorm... I think it's just You and Me and I'm barely here. Day Game on a Monday... They are losing to boot and the Game can't be seen on TV unless you are miles away. Tough conditions to work under.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Waiting eagerly to learn of the Mets announcers' view on the legitimacy of the run just scored.

James Verified Member Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 When did Willingham change his walk-up music to Sweet Home Alabama?I just noticed that when I was at the game on Friday. I was disappointed when I first heard it.

Physics Guy Verified Member Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Haven't been listening to the game, but catching up as I saw the game progress. I was curious as to what others had to say about Gibson. My thought when I saw the ticker on ESPN was that it's time to shut him down. His confidence will be shot if they give him a few more outings like this. 12 baserunners and 11 outs is not a good ratio.
Physics Guy Verified Member Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Maybe it was good they didn't televise this one. I might have to find a way to catch the AA game tonight.

That WHOP just bought him a ticket to Rochester, so the Twins must think so.

ThePuck Provisional Member Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Kyle Gibson has just been sent back to AAA. after another beating.
big dog Verified Member Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Here's hoping he can have a reasonably successful AAA start and then perhaps sit down and get ready for next year. He's been through enough.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 I forgot the Twins had a game today. Kinda like they did.
