Dozier...oops. It looked like he was taking a step toward second and didn't get back in time.

Clearly a balk move. I could see it and I'm only reading the ESPN.com pbp, so why didn't the umpires?

I too am posting from work.

Of course, it helps to be the boss.

I too am posting from work. My job is "retirement".

Solid single up the middle by Mauer, 4-0.

What is all this crazy "hitting with runners in scoring position"???

That's another new sabermetric thing.

Carrasco... Seems to suit our hitters.

And he's only at 37 pitches through 2 innings, so we get maybe four more innings of this? Twelve runs would be nice.

Gameday says that Carrasco is throwing as hard as 95. Must be pretty straight. I saw the hit by Arcia--the ball cut into his swing--so I guess velo along solves nothing.

Not very clutch of Mauer, since there should have been one more baserunner.

Hey, friend. You're younger than me. None of that "retirement" nonsense. Work 'til you die! Or until the house is paid for.

Gardy is trying all kinds of stuff he wouldn't normally do this year.

OK, Brian, you're up: what are the top 3 things Gardy is trying this year that he wouldn't normally?

Or until the wife says, "no, dear, you've done enough already."

Not sure if it's true, but I'm going with it.....Kyle Gibson has just tied Andrew Albers for the number of 1-2-3 innings this year. I'm out, it is too beautiful and the golf course is calling my (real) name!

1. Joe Mauer batting second

2. PED's... The Managers are not tested. He is a frequent visitor to Twins Daily... He's read the posts clamoring for a stronger manager.

3. Yoga Yogurt... He's eating Yogurt daily and doing so while his body is positioned in very strange ways. The Yogurt tastes the same but he spills a lot.

I don't know about stronger, but he's certainly a bigger man than I.

Are there classes for this? If so, where might one find them?

Yes... White Plains New York... Back Room of the Dannon Company.

Plouffie swung the bat there anyway. Hit the ball fairly well, but right to the left fielder. Our RISP is heading back to its natural level, apparently, after a quick first-and-third nobody out turns into K-K-9. They took out Carrasco too early!

Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports that Justin Morneau has cleared waivers.

Since Morneau wasn't claimed, he can now be traded to any team. The 32-year-old is batting just .262/.318/.423 this season, but he has begun to show more power recently. His remaining salary could limit the number of interested teams, but there's a chance he could be moved this month.

What does Gibson need to do to throw 2-3 less pitches per inning? 78 through 5 innnings is too many and he always seems to be right there.

Gotta start throwing 1st pitch strikes - 11 for 24 today so far.

The Tribe took Carrasco out too early, and I think maybe Gardy took Gibson out too late. He's been extremely unimpressive here in the 6th.

Yeah, a very Pelfry-esque performance today.

2013 is a season to find out some things and to let some guys develop even if there are some scuffmarks along the way, so I don't think Gardy ought to manage this game like it's the 7th game of the World Series.

Thanks for that stat. That is a pretty poor line and that would explain things. Working from behind over 50% of the time is not going to help.
