Tropicana field uses ground up coconut husks instead of the black rubber pellets. I heard that a while ago and hadn’t thought about it til I saw the brown stuff pop up when the ball hits the turf

I still don’t understand how they won those two. I was about 5 when they won last. Seems nearly impossible to imagine it happening again in my lifetime. That’s not hyperbole either lol it really feels that way.

We play rugby on that shite in HK. It's good to have a natural sort of slide in the tackle, but end of the day your boots and socks and underwear are filled with those tiny black bits. 😂

My first baseball memory is the 65 Series. 1st Grade me thought it would happen every year. 😂

Lucky enough to be living in Mpls for 87, and nearby enough in Chicago in 91 to go to several games. 

I keep the faith I'll see another one! ⚾
