He had a .758 OPS and 109 OPS+ that is not a problem on offense.  And led the league in triples.

Clemens is a great guy to have and should be playing every day except against the best LH pitching. He can hit average lefthanders, but not the good ones. The issue is that he isn't a middle of the order bat. He should be hitting 6 or 7 because of his low OBP and relatively low BA, but we had him hitting 4, 5 and sometimes even 3. Not good. 

The bolted down players all sound good but the only one how so far is a potential middle of the order bat is Keaschall and he is better suited to lead off. Jenkins might be a middle of the order bat, but it is waaaay too early to know and he probably won't be that in 2027 as he adjusts. 

Our biggest offensive problem for 2027 is the lack of quality guys to hit in the 3, 4 or 5 holes. Jeffers could maybe fill the 5 hole if he's re-signed. Until we fill the 3 and 4 holes we will always be an inconsistent offensive club.

Why not? The metrics are pretty good, he's 30, not 35 or 36. The expected results were better than the actual results. The more opportunites he has gotten to play, the better he has performed. To me, he's a pretty good example of a late-bloomer.
