I can tell I watch less baseball than I used to. I don't even know a lot of these names.

The AL was dog poo this season so I don’t blame you. The fun with star players has been in the NL playoffs this year

Ah yes, a Cleveland catcher who hasn’t hit at all in the regular season ties it up with a bomb to deep right CF

Its what makes it great,

How many parks still have bullpens in play?  I'd be fine with that ballpark feature going extinct

they move in 2029-

Gonna be honest today is the first time I’ve looked at Chase DeLauter on baseball reference and holy cow. A casual 3.5 bWAR and 131 OPS+ in 495 PA

Be nice if TC could find/develop a player like that.

Went to see TC there.  As domes go it's not that bad.

This whole Tampa franchise would be so much more appreciated in over half of the MLB markets. It’s so fraudulent to see their stadium now full for the ALCS.

I've been saying for years that Montreal is a much MUCH better market

Have no idea how other people view baseball games but the teams playing now are all good defensively, pitch, and put together good at bats.

Ryan Jeffers is a free agent. It doesn't seem like any of these four teams would roster Jeffers. While his bat plays, the glove does not. Bailey was available this summer and Cleveland jumped at the opportunity. Defense matters and nowhere is it more important than catcher. Just to add, there have been numerous balls run down in the outfield, especially in the corners, which were extra base hits if Larnach and Wallner were out there.

There is bound to be a fair amount of discussion and argument about the importance of roster expenditures given the disparity of three clubs versus the Dodgers. A majority (according to numerous polls with MLBTRumors being one example) of fans believe that parity is needed in baseball. It seems like it is time to identify that more specifically as "economic parity". Revenues should be more inclusively shared. The arguments made quite often this past summer about mediocrity of teams, divisions, or the American League are off base in my opinion. The balance in MLB by talent is fairly close which accounts for the large number of teams within range of a .500 record. Games are often competitive with many teams playing a number of games that end with score differences of three runs or less. The Guardians spirited play last night turned a close game through seven innings into a big win. My take, from watching way many more games than I ever did in the past, is that competitive balance has never been stronger and that the level of talent in MLB is as high as it has ever been. This can account for the difficulty many players encounter when first entering the major leagues. For those unfamiliar with DeLauter, Turang, Bailey, Vilade, Frelick, Espino, and a host of other players I hope you enjoy the games. These guys are really good baseball players. They pitch, run, hit, field, and play a  fundamentally strong game. I'm loving this postseason and hoping the Twins make the 3-6 changes needed to help their roster move towards a positive 2027 season.

3 walks for uribe and the dodgers are in the lead when their season looked in doubt

Man I did not have Ohtani looking like a struggling baseball player on my bingo card. Let alone him looking human…

I didn't think he had a home run for like two months?

Wasn’t paying that close to the date they flashed on the TV but sometime in mid August. He has to be injured and wants to play through it.

Ya. This is a great example of why you don't defer to players.
