The players they insist on playing every day have led us to 7 games below .500, at some point you need to be smart and find out what you have in the younger players. This is why we end up with players like Outman, Gray, Kreidler and other AAAA types on the roster and keep riding the mediocrity train. Parfigliano, Hunter4848, MeleMouth and 1 other 4

Don't get me started, I said we should go full rebuild and trade Ryan and Jeffers and Larnach in the offseason. Thats all on Tom. However if you can't tell this team is actually competitive and trying to win this year even with a losing record I don't know what to say. How many times have people said this is entertaining baseball. They aren't perfect they aren't elite, but they are trying. So be it, if this is the team I have to root for it isn't the worst team to root for and they still have something to play for and we are at Sept 9th - basically due to how bad the American League is. Take it for what it is. If you look at it though, this team could go on a run and I don't think anyone would say its impossible. The lineup right now - is probably the deepest all season, the starting pitching got a reinforcement with Ryan coming back and the bullpen looks legit right now. We are still a year away from really competing while we season the rookies. Hunter4848 and Cris E 2

They really need to win this game though and have a really good series against Cleveland. If they can win the next 4 my guess is their odds are back up to 25-30% Cris E and Hunter4848 1 1

And he signed Bell right after that. He wasn't showing signs in the offseason of a rebuild and he has never believed in that. At the trade deadline, Tom P. made the business decision to keep playing for the playoffs which was a bad decision then and it still is. Danchat and Hunter4848 2
