I knew this game was lost after reading Nick Nelson's tweet from Monday night: "Nothing like playing the Athletics to get you right. A truly terrible ball club."

Nick, you know damn well that we're not good enough to be that cocky. We had to fight tooth and nail to win the series against the A's last month and we'll have to do it again to win the series tonight, even if they are a depleted team.

That is not a defense of Lewis, it is baseball scoring 101, regardless of who the batter was

You could save yourself some embarrassment by doing a little research on MLB scoring history and current guidelines.

If you're counting on Buxton for the stretch run be prepared for disappointment, whether it's injuries, lack of production, you cannot count on him to help the team, usually starts post ASG, sometimes the injuries come sooner. IMO it's time to find a new everyday CF and move him to a corner or the 4th OF.

I can’t believe Lewis was given a hit with the A’s whole infield merging on a pop up that dropped between them , that was definitely an error …

So Buxton is injured again.  Can they finally call up Jenkins or do they kick the can down the road because of “reasons?”

Twins tanking even against the A’s rag tag AAA hopefuls. Cleveland rattling off the wins. This seems to happen at the end of every season now. Buying or selling. I wouldn’t be surprised if now the Twins finish 10-15 games under .500 for the season, watching called 3rd strikes all the way.
