Still think of they can get a first for Addison they need to do it.

If they could get a taker for hockenson, trade him for the salary relief. Though that could wait for the off season.

I'd love to deal anything past a third for a DB or two.

Corners are so system specific, I'm not sure there would be a big difference between one you'd get with an early pick or one you'd get with a 7th round pick. This team definitely could use an upgrade, but they remind me of relievers considering they tend to be victims or beneficiaries of small sample sizes. It usually only comes down to a couple of plays a game that either makes them a hero or a zero.

Anyway, long way of saying if they pick one up, my excitement will likely be the same whether I've heard of the guy or not. Just get.....more of them.

My ideal solution to the CB room is signing Asante Samuel Jr, who is now cleared to play, and trade for Riq Woolen from the Seahawks for a mid round pick. Both are young enough to build around. Woolen is 6'4" to defend the big body WRs in our division the rest of the season.

Woolen would be a rental and has struggled this year. Samuel seems like a good fit but other teams might be able to outbid us.

So the Cowboys traded Micah Parsons for 2 firsts and a good-not-great DT. Now they trade a 1st and a second for another good-not-great DT.

And the 1st they are now giving up is their first, not Green Bay's 1st. Does Jerry Jones presume his Cowboys will finish with a better record than Green Bay?

Jerry being Jerry. Chasing the headlines instead of building a good team. He needed all the picks he could get to save that sorry defense

Saw that.  Now need someone with A++ drafting skills and a coach.

What does the Gardner trade have to do with Kwesi and KOC?

I kid, I kid.  Kinda.

Jets doing their best Twins impression

NYJ Trade window definitely open.  Stacking 1st round picks.  Kinda wonder how they will mess this up.

Football strategy passed Jerry 30 years ago and has now lapped him twice.  As a 'da boys disliker surrounded by 'da boys fans I hope he never dies.

They completely bungled this, they should have traded Parsons pre-draft so they could get 2024/25 1sts instead of 25/26, and then make improvements to the defense. Instead, now they are 3-5-1 with a 7% chance of making the playoffs and trade for two defensive players.

Good moves by the Jets.  CBs have short shelf lives as elite players, to get that haul for Sauce is great for the Jets.  Danny Dimes turns back into a pumpkin and those picks could be mighty nice.

Quinnen Williams is a beast, but they need to reload that entire roster.  They have three good young lineman, a stud WR, and a boatload of nothing.  They need those picks to rebuild.

My scorching hot Jets take is use all of that draft capital gained today to trade for an established highly paid QB like Burrow, Herbert, Purdy, etc. They’ve taken more than enough swings at QBs in the top 10 over the years with different regimes. They just can’t do it.

Two defensive players pushing 30 as well.

Edit: Nope. Clark already turned 30 last month. I'm sure this will all work out for them though...

As I said earlier, I'd have worked hard to deal Hockenson and somewhat to deal Addison....but I get why neither was. I would have gladly dealt a mid round pick for a DB, since this FO SUCKS at drafting.....

Today I learned why the Jets are hoarding picks... Old friend Trader Rick Spielman is working for them as a "Senior Football Advisor"

Could the Vikings maybe hire one of those 'Senior Football Advisors'? You know, to point KAM in the right direction on draft day?

Looking at the team directory, I see a Senior Player Personnel Analyst. But her job description sounds like she deals in spread sheets and her headshot looks like she might be 25-years-old. She's not giving me Senior vibes.
