Parfigliano Verified Member Posted November 1, 2025 Posted November 1, 2025 Weird. November baseball.
Schmoeman5 Verified Member Posted November 1, 2025 Posted November 1, 2025 While this has been one of the more exciting WS in a while there has been a lot of BAD baseball. Dodgers have been kicking the ball all over giving the Blue Jays extra outs. With RISP they've looked as bad as the Twins. While the Blue Jays have ran into multiple outs on the bases and literally go station to station on every hit. So they're ultra conservative and reckless at the same time.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2025 Posted November 2, 2025 Scherzer starting game 7 is pretty awesome Blyleven2011 1
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted November 2, 2025 Posted November 2, 2025 Three balls over 100mph off him in the 1st. But no runs. No matter, since we are in SSS territory now…

In my opinion Toronto has outplayed the dodgers and have had a couple of bad calls that cost Toronto some runs ... Last night on that dead ball was ridiculous , 3/4 of the ball was exposed and CF was able to wrap his hand around it and throw to infield , the ball was not stuck stuck ... Bad bad call and forces a game 7 which is okay , one last final exciting game . .. To bad Peter isn't around to say it's a must win and yes someonewill win ...

h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2025 Posted November 2, 2025 Roberts hanging on hope. Ohtani got out of that one.

The official rule is a bit lengthy because it covers many cases, but is written pretty unambiguously: Rule 5.05(a)(7): Any fair ball which ... sticks in a fence or scoreboard ... the batter and the runners shall be entitled to two bases Your interpretation of "stuck" is more like "inextricable," and that isn't a common sense interpretation of the words in the rule. The centerfielder and the umpires were on the same page right away regarding the rule. The ball didn't bounce when it hit the wall like it usually does - it stuck to it. Parfigliano Verified Member Posted November 2, 2025 Author Posted November 2, 2025 Ohtani rules and tush push rules and FOX analyst sounds like he's on LA-Ohtani payroll. What a lickspittle.
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2025 Posted November 2, 2025 I am looking forward to the first time the Blue Jays manager comes out to visit with Scherzer and Max looks like he’s about to murder him. 28 pitches thru 3 innings is a great sign for him making it deep this game. I watched replay over and over and the way he picked up the ball told me it wasn't stuck in the fence as bad as the interpretation ... It just sucked because Toronto the 8th and 9th inning gave it a college try ... ashbury 1

h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2025 Posted November 2, 2025 Roberts living on hope instead of what was happening. Ohtani should have been a game 7 pulled after 2. Too late now. Ohtani owes them a 3 run homer of his own now. 😇 Man these Blue Jays can hit!
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2025 Posted November 2, 2025 This isn’t even fair. Just contacting the ball even way out of zone and they become hits for Toronto.
