Toyota Roll Over Ad

Can we please stop these rollover ads? I find them to be incredibly troublesome. They expand to block half the screen and are quite noisy. I just want to browse this site in peace without being ambushed by some woman yelling at me about Toyotas. I drive one already, anyway.

If someone finds an annoying rollover ad, please post a screenshot of it in this forum. I never see rollovers and there's no way for us to tell the network "stop running that one Toyota ad". We need some frame of reference based in its appearance and where it's appearing on the page.

Exhibit A. I really don't understand how this hasn't been brought up before. I understand that ad revenue is important, but I'd really appreciate it if you could look into fixing this. I recall prior rollover ads were seemingly troublesome for the community as well.

Yeah, these roll over ads keep happening, I have mentioned several times its really annoying, especially with auto sound. And as I have mentioned several times before its not like you are getting anything close to a premium CPM on those spots, just tell USA Toady/Big Lead to stop running those, they will do it.

It's a little more complicated than that. We're testing multiple ad networks now and without seeing where the ad originates on the page, we don't know who to go to for complaints.

This is beyond ridiculous at this point, now when that stupid ad is in the middle of the page it blocks off the ability to write a reply post (even when it isn't rolled over) I had to just refresh 3 or 4 times to even get one post on this board.

 

I'm telling you 100% that Toyota ad is from big lead sports, just look at: thebiglead.com which has the same stupid ass annoying ad.

 

I get that you guys are trying to make a buck, I really do. But this **** is happening all the time, I hate to mention ad blocker, but at some point its either that or just stop coming here as its annoying to have to write a post 3-4 times

I cannot believe that I am commenting on this again. This is unbelievably infuriating. PLEASE discontinue these ads, I spent a considerable amount of time clicking around on this damn site only to encounter this Toyota ad at least a half dozen times blocking my entire screen. I'm not even opposed to ads! I understand their importance! For the love of God please, please PLEASE do something to stop this entirely invasive advertisement.

Brock, lately I've noticed the ads on the site now being two separate video windows. I don't know about anyone else, but it is seriously slowing the load time for my browser. (I use chrome)

 

If I use Firefox I get crash reports left and right. (the fault of firefox, but it's because the adobe flash player is getting a P90x workout every time I open a window)

 

Maybe it's just me, but something I've been noticing.

We're in contact with the ad company. It's a new service and that is causing the problem.

They've told us they have discontinued running this ad for us. If anyone has any more issues please let us know. We're sympathetic. It's just that sometimes the ad service slips up.

This is absolutely absurd. Not only have the ads continued to appear for me, but they are the ONLY ones I get now. The ads are still being run, without a shadow of a doubt.

 

Notice the 7/21 Minor League Recap Article in the corner. The ad is still being run, and I find it completely ridiculous. I can't even click on half the articles anymore. This is beyond frustrating. This is beyond baseball

If this stuff annoys you guys that bad, use Firefox with the NoScript add-on, and only allow the TwinsDaily content to run. It will increase you're browsing speed tenfold as well.
